"You should have spent less time on entertainment! Seriously, why can't you? I want you to listen to K-pop less. Understand me?" Dad continued lecturing even as tears were flowing down my face.
I hated it.
Just hated it.
After yet another long lecture, I stomped up to my room. I knew I was good at dancing--so I opened up my iPhone and created a TikTok account that was public.
I tidied up my room and recorded my very first TikTok. It was a super popular dance.
Little did I know I was in for a surprise the next morning.
I was an overnight sensation. I gained 100 000 followers overnight. How did I even--?
I knew it.
I could be an influencer!
Yes! Yay!
Thinking that my studies would not be affected, I did one TikTok every few hours, each TikTok way better than the previous.
TikTok soon was like a way to destress. I felt good as I got comments such as," OMG you are so so pretty," or "Can I please be your friend? You are so cool."
These boosted my self-esteem.
Little did I know, my grades slipped little by little.
