"Good morning, Rachel. Did you sleep well?"
The female counselor said in a happy tone as she entered the room. Rachel's eyes slowly opened and sat up on her bed with a blank stare.
"Yes," Rachel muttered.
"Your counseling for today will be in the evening. It's a gorgeous day, don't you think?"
The woman said as she looked out of the window in Rachel's room as the sunlight beamed in. Rachel fell silent, not wanting to talk to her.
"After breakfast, why don't we take a nice walk outside?" The counselor walked towards Rachel before she stood in front of her bed.
"Okay." Rachel said with no emotions, knowing that the outside she mentioned wasn't actually outside but in a garden surrounded by large walls. She was a patient living in a counseling house and wasn't allowed to be free until she was fine. She kept asking so many questions about Zack and (Y/N) and hadn't yet received any answers.
"Places like this are so relaxing, aren't they?" The counselor said as she walked behind Rachel towards the garden.
"Yes."
"Rachel, could you wait here for a moment?"
The counselor said before walking away as Rachel sat down at the bench, staring at the beautiful garden. The wind blew softly as her hair slightly floated. Her emotionless stare didn't change. Butterflies flew around and landed on beautiful flowers.
I didn't hear anything from Zack. I hope he is alright as well. The same thing for (Y/N) in the afterlife.
-----
"Has anything made you feel uneasy?"
"No, not really." Rachel said blankly as she sat on the couch in front of the kind-hearted counselor.
"Then have you been sleeping well?"
"Yes."
"I see. Let's call it a day, then. I'm sorry we started so late. My session with another patient ran long. I'll walk you to your room."
The counselor said as she stood up along with Rachel. "I can go by myself." Rachel said.
"I can't let you do that. I'm sorry." She said before leading Rachel towards the hall with windows.
"My, the sky looks so pretty. It's a beautiful night." The counselor said as she stared at the window outside as she admired the beautiful bright blue moon shining upon them.
"A beautiful night?" "Yes. The best thing to do on a night like this is to get into bed and sleep. You'll have sweet dreams. Come, let's go."
The woman said as she walked away but Rachel stood there staring at the moon. The woman noticed and stopped walking.
"Rachel, could it be that you're afraid? You've gotten much better since you came here. You're nothing like who you were when you kept asking about those murderers you were with. So... to put you at ease, I'll tell you this. I'm not supposed to, but... those murderers you were with, the bandaged guy... was sentenced to death."
Rachel didn't flinch nor change her blank facial expression. The only thing that changed was her dull eyes of disappointment. She looked away.
"He... was?" Rachel said.
"Yes. I'm sure you're surprised but I believe this will help you sleep in peace."
"... Yeah."
"Now, let's go. You should rest easy.
