Akari's POV:
I feel the wind run through my hair as I run in the forest, not looking back, terrified of what will happen if I do. I end up in a nearby lake, with stepping stones in the lake. So, I jump on the nearest one, trying to steady my balance before jumping on the next one.
As I land on the other side of the lake, I look behind me, to see if the creature is there.
...Silence...
I sigh, relieved I managed to outrun the dreaded monster. I turn around and continue running.
I feel a heavy pain in my chest, but that doesn't matter. nothing does, at this point. Then, I hear a familiar, nostalgic voice.
