🌹𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝟐𝟕 | 𝐍𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐬' 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞

Akari's POV:

I wake up, with dreary eyes, the white light from the nurse ward making it hard to see clearly. I rub my eyes slightly and prop myself up using my elbows. I look to my right, to see a figure sleeping soundly on a chair, head leaning against the wall. 

I raise my hand to the side of my face, touching it, and letting a sound of pain from my mouth. Right on queue, the nurse came in with a tray with two sandwiches and water bottles.

"Hello, dear. Are you okay?" I try to open my mouth and speak, but that doesn't come without the pain throbbing in my mouth.

"Ah, it seems you cannot speak. No matter, try to drink some water if you can, and if you can, try to eat some food. Give the nice gentleman over there some food once he wakes up." She informs me, smiling sincerely.

I nod slightly. "Wait here, I'll get you an ice pack, to put over the bandages" She leaves once again.

I look at my clothes, still the same as before. I get out of my bed and motion myself toward the sleeping figure. I crouch down to his level and I tap his face a bit, so I can wake him up, as I can't speak.

His eyes, flicker a while, looking at me as his eyes widen. "Kimiko! You're okay!"

I nod. "Seems like you can't speak... no matter!" I walk off to the tray that was set on my bed and gave him a sandwich and water bottle.

"Thank you, did the nurse say I can have this?" I nod yet again.

I tap my finger on my wrist, motioning him as to what's the time. "Oh," He looks at his watch. "It's 4:30 AM... wait, 4:30?"

I motion to him with my writing in my hand, as a way of telling him to get me paper and a pen. 

"Got it!" He leaves the room temporarily, coming back in with multiple pieces of paper, a clipboard and a purple sharpie. I take it and start writing.

"Sorry I woke you up at 4:30 AM."

"No, it's fine! That means I get to spend time with you!" He picks me up and sets me down on the bed, covering me with the sheets.

Again, right on queue, the nurse comes in with the ice pack, to see the figure that was once asleep now awake. 

"Ah yes, finish your food, and if you want, you can go back to sleep. Kimiko, what games do you have today, sweetie?"

"Maths, Sociology and History," I write. I scribble on the paper again. "I'm representing Purple Team as well,"

"Oh no... do you have the times?"

"Yeah, but I forgot what time they were. And the paper is in my room,"

"Ah, no matter, I can see on the school system! I'll try and get you on the sub-team but we'll see," She leaves once again, and I place the ice on my face, wincing at the sudden coldness.

"It's a wonder how you manage to get this hurt with just a slap! But, don't worry," He sits down next to me on the bed, I move up slightly for him to sit down comfortably. "I only have two to do, which is near the end of the day, so someone can be here for you while I'm gone!"

"Thank you for being here,"

"No problem!"

"How did you know I was here?"

"Well, news spreads like a wildfire in this school," He uses the quote I once used. "And since I'm a member of the council... I got the news before the rest of the students,"

"Does Yuki and Akaza know?"

"They do. Akaza-dono got informed so he told Koyuki-san. They went to visit you but you were unconscious at the time. Koyuki-san almost cried seeing you in that state~"

I look down, sadly. "But, since one person had to stay, I offered to stay while Akaza-dono went with Koyuki-san, comforting her. She said that she's sorry, and she'll try to be with you,"

"It's fine, she doesn't need to apologise,"

I try to write again using my hand, with the pack of ice on my shoulder, trying to lift it up on my face, but it falls on the bed. 

"I think you should stop writing for a while, and focus on your face." I nod, placing the clipboard down with the sharpie.

He gets out his phone, "Wanna watch a YouTube video?" I nod as he opens the app.

"There's a lot of videos to watch... what do you want to watch?" I shrug, showing him that I don't know.

"SSSniperwolf? Dang Matt Smith?" I nod, clicking on the Dang Matt Smith video. "Good thing there's free Wifi here,"

I just realised I went through this whole chapter without mentioning who the guy was... It's Douma, by the way.
