Fanteriso's P.O.V.
Rage overtook my mind red clouding my vision. My master had tried to send me away. It wouldn't work. I was trapped, Altair was on the other side of the door backing slowly into the room as more soldiers attacked.

I screeched as I extended my talons, ready to rip the eyes out of the man who sealed the path to my master.

Altair had sworn to help me free her! I slashed my talons across the mans neck and his screaming turned to a sickly gurgle.

I powered my wings downward, sending myself on an upward spiral. The tiny room still held the sent of fear and pain.

As I scanned the room quickly I swooped towards Altair. He was pinned in a corner, and several guards were ready to strike.

I revelled as my talons ripped into a mans neck. For every man I killed meant that I was one step closer to saving Zhosa. One step closer to rescuing my master.

Altair's blade flashed and within seconds all the men lay dead. Panting I willed myself back into human form.

The shifting of bones under my skin was familiar but that made it no less comfortable. My feathers melting away was even less so.

Standing upright I rubbed my jaw. One of the guards had slammed his shield in my face. Luckily for me there was nothing broken.

Altair sighed at the sealed stone door. "I'm so sorry Fanteriso. I never meant for Zhosa to get hurt." The was pain in his voice. It seemed real but I wouldn't trust the man as far as I could throw him.

I turned away from the grate stone slab. It seemed to hurt less if I didn't think about it. After all Zhosa was my master, and if I dare let her die, her mother would haunt me for eternity.
