Altair's P.O.V.
I was too late. The Templar bastard that had captured Zhosa had got away.

I rest my head against the wall. Bracing myself with my other hand I slammed my fist into the wall. It stung a bit but it helped me to focus and clear my mind.

Fanteriso was climbing the stairs back out into the open. There were no men left alive in the castle as far as I knew but he was the only chance I had to find her again.

I sighed drawing away from the wall and heading sullen towards the door.

How had they managed to take her without my noticing? How could they hurt her in the way they had?

I growled as my sullen mood darkened. That man would regret even coming close to Zhosa. I glanced at my hand and the crimson liquid flowing from my knuckles. That bastard would pay with his life for harming her.

I ripped myself from my thoughts as a hand landed on my shoulder. "It's not going to help her if you keep beating yourself up Altair."

I cursed under my breath. "Fanteriso if you say that again I won't be the only one with bloody knuckles."

Fanteriso withdrew his hand from my shoulder, instead turning me to face him. "Altair, you can't give up. She is my master but even I can tell she is more to you than your admitting!"

He was right and I knew it. But I couldn't even admit my feelings to myself.

Fanteriso sighed and gave my shoulders a shake. "You act like a cold heartless Assaasin. Hell there was a time I would have even believed that little ruse. But now I know you got a heart so why not put it to use?"

By this point he was shouting and I could feel my temper rising. Calmly I stated, "Because I never had a heart before." I could feel my fists clench and the hidden blade extend but I didn't care.

I glared at the ground a sudden idea coming to me. The carriage would have been slowed by the weight, they likely wouldn't have gone terribly fast either due to the belief that I would be dead.

I laughed tossing my head back. I turned and leaped upon the nearest horse earning a confused look from Fanteriso.

"We can still find her!" I smirked as understanding dawned on his face.

"Then go. I will search from above." He turned away from me and spread his arms becoming the eagle once more.

He screeched soaring into the winds circling higher and higher. I watched as he disappeared among the clouds momentarily before swooping low in the direction the cart hard taken.

He would find his master. All I needed to do was try to keep up. That is if my theory was correct.
