Lavanya’s POV
I told everything to Swati. She was shocked and said “Is it for real? Can someone be so extreme even at this century? I guess her son may be a famous figure so that she could afford to do this stupidity. A normal person can never even think of doing these things. What have you decided?”
“I don’t know but I want to help her”
“What?” She is more than shocked now.
“Yes she is just asking me to marry her son not to make babies with him. I think I can get married and stay eight months
at her home. Anyway it’s not a legal marriage. I am really thinking to do this. But I don’t suggest this, if she comes up with this plan, I am okay”
“What are you thinking? Have you gone nuts? Why are you doing this? I know it is definitely not to save her son. Tell me what is it? The actual reason” Swati is really on hot stove.
“I just want to do it. No special thoughts and reasons” I wish I could told her the actual reason.
Mrs. Shastry’s POV
“Panditji please suggest something. She is going to Germany in eight months and my son can never leave India for any reason. He loves cricket more than the life. He will die rather not play cricket for India”.
Pndithji “I do not understand anything. But get them married for eight months. Mrs. Shastry it is marriage not a joke , marriage will have its own way to get them together. They are fated. Just tell them it is only for eight months and they should live under the same roof during that period. Leave the remaining thoughts to God”.
I took quite a few minutes to process, decided something and left to home.
First I have to make my son agree for this. Later I will speak to the girl. What I couldn’t understand is manager couldn’t find anything about her family. Otherwise I would have directly spoken to them and tried to convince them.
Yash’s POV
My mother has definitely gone mad. She is asking me to marry that girl only for eight months. I and my father are very much against this idea. But my mother is not ready to listen anything.
“Mom, what are you even thinking? How can you even ask this? You are very reserved Indian woman yet you are asking me to do this. It is not even my age to get married”.
Mom” What about the age? Your father has ou at 24”.
“Yes definitely the point. I can be a father, if you want but can’t get married. Who knows I might already have kids somewhere in the world” smirk appeared across my face.
Mom “Mind your words. Is this something to talk infront of your parents”
“Who started this mom?”
Mom “You are already liberal to all these things then why can’t you marry a girl for 8 months”
Mom has actually got a point. She is logically correct.
Mom “Girl lives here for 8 months. Just think that I have started a PG for a girl. All you need to do is to sit in the mandap for a half a day. You guys are not going to be married legally. Please do this one favor otherwise I don’t know what I will do to myself? I am requesting you and begging you beta”
I and my dad simply kept quiet and she took it as yes.
“Mom, what about the girl? How do you convince her?”
Mom”Pehle apne bete ko toh samjao. Next I have to convince her”
“Upto you mom”.
I asked my manager about the girl. He said “We couldn’t find much sir despite of our efforts for last two days. Something seems fishy. But madam is very adamant. So I kept silent. We couldn’t get her actual address, one mentioned in the college application is nowhere. Her adhar card is missing in college records. Only her admission details are available no previous details. But she is a very bright student”.
“Okay. Let it be don’t bother. Let me see what is there in the cup for me”
Lavanya’s POV
As expected Pandithji called me suggesting the same which I have anticipated and I agreed with a condition to keep the marriage secret. Apart from boy’s mother, father, boy, I, Swati and Pandithji no one else should know about this. His mother, my mother-in-law to be agreed. I am all set to get married tomorrow. ‘What the eff?I don’t even know his name. Anyway it doesn’t matter. I can escape hostel food for 8 months is the major advantage out of this arrangement’
