A Sheriff's Confession | Colt x Fem Reader

You were a fellow known brawler against the Wild West , maybe you weren't from there but you loved the few bars and little rustic theme they had of decorations.

- Hey Barley , just the usual! - you said as you caressed the wood from the counter , until you felt somebody grabbing your shoulders and automatically sprinted out of your chair as you sighed in relief -Shelly!! You almost killed me!- you sat again and Shelly only laughed and sat right beside you "Well , what kind of best friend would i be if i didn't do this?" , You only chuckled at her sentence , you took a quick glance behind her and pointed out -"Oh- hey where's Colt?"- while looking around
"Oh he decided to stay to do an "extra check on the bushes" , no idea what he meant , but you get it"
You laughed disappointingly "Oh- too bad! I really wanted to see him today" , suddenly you felt shelly's chair move closer "For what reason y/n?" She looked teasingly as you blushed a bit at the thought
- "Oh- pft i think you already know"
She leaned a bit back and watched you
"No i don't ,but you know you can' tell me!"

You looked around the bar and whispered into her ear " I think i have a crush on Colt"
Shelly suddenly turned into stone and her eyes into stars "YOU HAVE A CRUSH ON WHO?!" She exploded happily as you tried shushing her , "OH GIRL if i told you i knew all along!!" She squealed and lowered her voice "Dios mio! , so are you going to tell him?" , You were unsure on your thoughts but after some seconds you nodded your head shily

Shelly noticed that you were insecure and placed a hand in your shoulder "Look y/n. I may be not the best lovey dovey expert , but i can tell he's crushing hard for you girl , he's always talking about you!" "So go for it Y/n" , you didn't answer with single word but looked grateful as she cleared her throat "it's the least i can do , Girls supporting girls"

On that day you decided to do the seemingly impossible , your heart beated faster as Shelly accompanied you right to Colt , you were actually super nervous for the first time if your life

As soon as you arrived Colt noticed your presence and came running , "Y/N! Shelly! What are you both doing here?" He said happily while embracing you both , Shelly laughed it off and spoke: "Just bringing Y/N , she needs help with a "special delivery" , You blushed and smiled nervously kinda wanting to stop Shelly from talking , as Colt interrupted your thoughts talking out loud "So , what is it y/n? , OOH i know! Is it for me?" , you decided you couldn't turn back now.

Actually- Colt it is for you- bUT ITS NOT- uh not that kind of delivery (Oh my god what was happening with your words) , just sit down alright- " , Colt curiously sat down on a nearby bench as you sat on the other border too , you moved your hand to your chest and began speaking:

"Its been some time since we've met each other and became best friends , but I've been feeling.. some things lately , even when we brawl together and i just gotta say i-"
Before you finished your sentence , when you lifted your eyes up , you saw Colt looking at you attentively waiting for you to finish

"I really like you"
Everything seemed to click in his mind , like a puzzle piece coming together , like when you acted crazily nervous around him or the constant redness on your face , as soon as he finished processing that thought he lifted up his face with a blushing smug smile and teased "Soooo- you find me handsome?"

you covered your eyes from the embarrassment "Oh stop it you dork! , of course i do!" You laughed mid blush as he pulled you closer and for the first time ,you heard him being soft , "Hey don't worry y/n , i find you very pretty too." , after hearing those words you could only lay on his chest and appreciate the view together

Meanwhile Shelly was fangirling over the bushes checking if everything went alright. But at the end , Colt loved you too
