Author's Note:

Okay, so, finals are finally over(whoo!) and now I can start to focus more on my writing. Which is great!!! :) Thank you so much for bearing with me, and I'm sorry I updated this late, but here it is!

*Also, I kinda threw the cover together last second so expect that to change for the better sometime.*

**Special thanks to GabriellaCadogan for the new cover. ^_^ It looks great**

"Open up!" I shouted at the door.

When there was no response, I banged my fist furiously until the door was about to splinter. Viola threw open the door, and looked between me and Daren, who I was hauling by the ear.

"What the hell did you do now?" Viola asked Daren. This is why she is my best friend. Daren's status as the alpha wolf meant absolutely nothing to her.

"Can I put some damn clothes on first?!" he exclaimed angrily. I sighed.

"Fine. But if you take longer than five minutes, I'm going to kill you." He rolled his eyes at me and he was gone. I followed Vee inside the house until I found the living room, where the wolves and herself were watching one of the Twilight movies.

"If Edward had just made her into a vampire from the beginning, none of this would be happening!" Luke yelled at the screen. I watched, amused by their reactions.

"And since when do we change when we get angry?! What is he, a furry Hulk?!" I laughed out loud, and four faces turned toward me. They all jumped up but Gabriel sat back down, as if he remembered he's supposed to hate me.

"It's fiction, Luke. Don't let that stuff go to your head. You'll go crazy," I said, as he hugged me so tight my bones might've been turned to dust.

"Where've you been, rabbit? I haven't seen you in forever," I raised an eyebrow.

"It's only Friday." He looked perplexed and checked the grandfather clock nestled soundly in the foyer. I heard him yell,

"Damn you Stephanie Meyer!" I rolled my eyes.

At least Luke's the same...

"It's nice to see you, Ren. But somehow... you feel different," Alex said, his eyebrows furrowed.

"You can thank Daren for that," I said, bitterness lacing my voice. I'm not sure what happened to me, exactly, since Daren Marked me and the little pawprint appeared on my body, but something was definitely different.

I checked my watch, and marched over to Daren's bedroom.

"Daren you have ten seconds to come out of there before I come in and kick your ass into another wall! Ten, nine--"

"Christ you're loud," he said, emerging from his room, an annoyed look on his face.

"What is the meaning of this?!" I yelled, showing him my collarbone with the tiny pawprint etched on.

"Aw, it's so cute," I heard Viola say. I turned toward her, jaw dropped.

"Cute? Cute?! How is this cute?! He freaking bit me without my permission!"

"Wait, what?" she asked, confused.

"I thought that werewolves couldn't Mark you without your permission." She turned and shot a look toward Garrett, who scratched the back of his head. Daren shrugged.
