I stared off into space, still kind of dazed because of the whole 'Marking' dilemma. Could werewolves even Mark vampires? Was I supposed to fall in love with him now or something?

That little shit! I swear, I'll--

"Ren! If you keep doing that, you're going to break your fingers," Garrett snapped, breaking me out of my inner turmoil. I looked down at my knuckles in shame. Beside him, Viola rolled her eyes.

"You would know," she remarked innocently. He immediately turned red and shut his mouth.

Vincent was watching the whole thing with an amused expression.

"Were you even listening to what he was saying?" Alex asked, glancing at Vincent.

"...No." Everyone gave me the same look. I threw my hands up in the air.

"It's Daren's fault! If he had just kept his wolfy urges to himself--"

"Say what you want the Mark doesn't lie, baby," Daren interrupted, grinning smugly at me.

I was about to retort when Vincent cleared his throat.

"I'll recap for you, Serenity. Basically, we need a witch to perform a blood tracking spell--which will link your blood and your sister's blood."

Luke shared a look with Vee.

"We know a witch from our hometown, but she doesn't exactly do spells for free." I frowned.

"Okay. That sounds awfully cryptic, but okay."

"We'll also need a healer, or a doctor of some sort," Vincent continued. Xander sighed.

"You could get my sister's help, I guess." Vincent nodded at him.

"And we'll also need six virgins... for the spell."

"What?!"

What the hell could we possibly need virgins for?!

"Relax. He means that we need their blood for the spell. And obviously a witch isn't going to provide their own virgins," Alex elaborated.

"We don't have to kill them, do we? No one wants to die a virgin."

I desperately did NOT want to kill anyone. Well, besides Daren, but he hardly counts.

Vincent smiled calmly.

"Nope. Just a drop of blood from each sacrifice."

His use of the word sacrifice definitely did not make me feel better, but at this point, I was ready to do anything to track down my sister.

"Okay, seems simple enough--"

"Oh! And there's just one more detail I may have forgotten to tell you," Vincent added suddenly. Alex stifled a laugh.

Vincent took out a map of the U.S.A, with a few red circles over certain cities in no particular pattern.

"The virgins we find have to be somewhere in these cities, because they're magical hot-spots."

"Magical hot-spots? Why is that necessary?"

"Because there are so many unnatural disappearances in these areas--due to creatures like us, that a few minor disappearances will be looked over."

I went silent.

"These disappearances, they're murders aren't they?" Everyone avoided my gaze.
