I love you
Three words you shared
I never returned
I love you
One dart to the heart
One to my brain
One to my ego
I still couldn't say
I love you
Impeccable timing
You must have known
Three little words
What's the name of the show
Turn it off I begged
My heart couldn't bear
Your brain is lying
Oh how unfair
I love you echoed
As it pierced through my soul
These words are too dangerous
But, you didn't know
You said it one time
Then said it two more
Then five, six, and seven
And so many more
This must be a joke
For, we've only just met
Fairytales aren't real
How dare you forget
Whether my heart beats fast
When you walk in the room
And maybe a smile, laying next to you
And just because you look at me, with big brown eyes, like pools of honey
And maybe you might have stayed the night, but
My heart is battered, torn, and scarred from everything that left a mark
When you came here with your boots that lace and a big dumb smile across your face
And though prince charming may not exist, they sent me a man who kept promises
and I couldn't fight it for I knew it was true
I love you with everything I felt next to you
I loved the way you understood
That highs and lows and ups and downs were only how my world spun around
And even though we had just met you bring security and warmth each time we slept
My oh my how I want falling head heels and tingling in my toes
My prince wasn't charming and not a knight in armor
For he was a man who waited around, maybe bought a dog and wanted to settle down
For the girl he chose was more extra than ordinary
And though the idea that love must be true
For now she loves with the I and you
Then those three words turned into two
Now Mr. and Mrs. said "I do"
