Algee walked down the stairs in Jayhden's house to get the younger a water bottle. Jayhden said he could get it himself but Algee insisted on getting it for him.At the counter sat the older woman, glasses on her nose and many sheets of papers and folders laid out infront of her.
Algee just smiled at her when she looked up trying not to disturb. She sighed and took her glasses off.
"How would you defend someone who stole childrens shoes from elementary schools to sell them?" She asked her sons boyfriend frustratedly.
"Maybe they're financially unstable?" Algee suggested trying his best to help the woman.
She blinked and then looked down at her notes on this person, she then placed her hand on her forehead.
"All of these cases have me so tired." She sighed, "did I actually help?" Algee asked confused while getting the bottle for Jayhden.
"Yes you did. This is too much for me, is it okay if you help me with other public cases I have? I'm drained right now." The woman spoke.
"Yeah sure." Algee nodded, "I'll pay you-" Algee cut her off, "no. It's okay I'm happy to help. I actually like this detective stuff." Algee chuckled.
"Detective stuff?" The woman repeated laughing with him, "so you want to become a lawyer? Or a detective?" She asked him.
Algee liked the idea of helping people solve things that happened or defending people and helping them out of situations. He knows that it might not be deserved in some cases to be defended but he was looking at the bright side.
"I'd have to do the whole school thing and I don't think I want to do that." Algee realised, "what about assistant work? You'd just have to work with someone and get paid less but I'm sure it'd still be a lot." She shrugged.
".." Algee just looked at her trying to figure out where this was going. "Just think about it and let me know when you know the answer." She smiled at him.
She then turned back around. Algee's eyes widened and never went back to normal as he went upstairs.
"You okay?" Jayhden asked him watching his boyfriend close the door with widened eyes and then walk towards him.
"I think your mom just offered me a job as her assistant?" Algee told him, "did you take it?" Jayhden said after a gasp.
"She told me to think about it." Algee said, "do you think you'll take it?" Algee chuckled at the shorter.
"Bae Ima think about it." Algee said, Jayhden really wanted him to take the offer because it might be a step out of the dangerous lifestyle he had.
"Okay." Jayhden mumbled taking the water bottle. "You want me to say yes?" Algee felt like Jayhden's opinion was important too.
"Yes. You'll probably spend less time with me but yes." Jayhden nodded. Algee really needed to think about this because there were good and bad things that came with it.
The fact that they'd probably get to spend much less time with eachother was making him want to tell the woman right now that he didn't want to take up on the offer.
"Damn gimme sum of that." Algee reached for the water bottle in Jayhden's mouth, "stop." Jayhden frowned quickly putting the bottle down to close it.
"Wh- why?" Algee looked at him, "I'm dirty, remember?" Algee sighed at him brining that up again.
"I'm sorry." Jayhden laughed, it wasn't funny to him at first but he forgave Algee. "Nah bruh. Don't bring that shit up. I apologised."
"You're right daddy. I'm sorry." Jayhden watched him now laying down on the bed.
