She was staring, looking at a photo like it was the most precious thing she had witnessed. Her long brown fringes were framing the sides of her gorgeous face and a smile was plastered on the said gorgeous face.

Her expression was like that of a grateful human. A human who just receive the greatest gift someone could receive. She was sitting on the floor, happily smiling.

She chuckled and lifted her face, looking at me.

"I'm so happy, Kiyotaka," she said. My heart was heavy but more than that, I felt suffocated by the bliss I feel at the moment. Everything just feels so surreal.

"I can see that... I am happy too, you know." I said with all my heart.

"Really?" She asked while a lovely and hopeful smile was on her face.

"Really. I'd never thought this would happen as well. I'm just glad you reached this far, Chie," I said while coming near her. I embraced her by wrapping my arms around her shoulder and resting my head on hers.

She wiped the teardrops off her face and whimpered.

"Yeah... I'm so happy. I'm so so happy right now... I'm really happy, Kiyotaka."

"Hmn, I know, Chie. I know. I'm proud of you. I'm very excited about this."

She grabbed my hand and leaned her body to me. Now, my body was being supported by the couch while she snuggled up to me, hugging the photo she was looking at.

She sobbed, tears dripping to the floor. I could hear the sorrow and the happiness she feels. Her whimpers carried everything she feels. I couldn't see her face and expression but I know she is happy.

I know because she is the woman I love. She will be happy.

"I'm sorry for crying... I'm just really happy today, Kiyotaka." Her whimper weakened and now she was sniffling. She raised her head and flashed me a bright smile. "Are you really happy?"

"Why do you ask that, Chie?" I asked.

"I just want to know... because I want us two to be happy again. I just want to be happy with you..." She whispered.

"There's no doubt that I am very happy, Chie. To be honest, I can't contain the bursting joy of seeing this unfold. I'm glad..." I replied with a smile.

"You'll see... We're gonna be the happiest family. Even though I might not be with you and our child, you don't have to be sad. I can't be by your side and I apologize for that. Just know that I love you both with all my heart and life."

"Mhn... Mhn... I know... I love you too, Kiyotaka... I love you too..."

"Yes. Now you need to stop crying and fix yourself. We don't want the sexy and beautiful Chie-sensei to be ugly now right?" She smacked me on my arm and giggled.

"Jeez, stop joking, Kiyotaka. But yeah, I should really fix myself."

"You should do that. Please don't worry, I'll come back whenever I can. Just remember to take care of yourself and take care of our child, okay?"

"Kiyotaka– Okay. I will. I will..." She started sobbing again. She stood up and I did too. "I will miss you... Please come back soon."

"Yes. I will. Please stop crying now." I wiped the tears with my thumb and stroked her cheek. "I'll miss you too."

"Please don't leave me again!" She launched herself at me and hugged me. Our chest colliding and I could feel the wetness that her tears brought not just to my shirt but also from my eyes. Luckily I was able to hold it in from flowing out.
