Angelina POV
The next day when I woke up I almost got a heart attack when I looked at the watch, it was 9am.
"Omg!, children!, have they woke up or not?, shit !" I cursed myself and left my bedroom to check up on them.
"Reb, Georgie" I went into the kitchen and then looked for them in living area but there was no response.
"Oops! I guess they have left already" cursing myself again, I headed towards bathroom to fix myself a super hot bath. My body was aching very badly so I put quite an amount of Epsum salt in the tub and enjoyed the bath for half an hour. Earlier I thought I would take an off but I later decided its a bad idea.
I quickly ate a sandwich, applied simple make up and rushed towards bus stop, I was lucky enough to get the bus. Once I sat in the bus and got relaxed my brain started to work.
Why am I behaving like this? Am I really rude to everyone?, children, Peter, Lisa and David !
Am I becoming mentally ill?, or is there any
Monster inside me, nobody seems to be happy around me, children left school without lunch boxes today, Lisa left the house angrily yesterday, I didn't even thank her for taking care of the children , I fought with Peter.
And .... David!, poor soul he wanted to share something with me yesterday but I didn't give him any chance!.
"I need to work on myself, my mental health is absolutely going nuts, I need to do something.. I need to go for a therapy I guess" I whispered to myself before getting down at my stop.
"I have missed many customers in the morning, I have to be careful, after all Reb's science festival is fast approaching and I haven't saved money at all, if at all I can't make any money by that time, I just have to sell any of my wedding jewellery. If Rebecca misses this opportunity I would be the most unhappy person in the world." My conversation to myself was going on until I reached the cafe.
I mechanically entered the cafe not realising that it was already opened by someone. I literally gasped only when I looked at the huge line.
"Excuse me" I had to excuse customers in order to rush to the counter to take the new orders, and I knew the culprit has opened the cafe in the morning and behaving as if nothing has happened last night.
"Next please" I said standing before the computer to take the orders.
"Hey Angelina how are you?" One of the customers who regularly visits my cafe greeted me.
"Hey I am good, yourself?" I said in a low tone.
"I am good too, are you okay?" she said trying to read my feelings.
"Yeah, I am" I said taking her order
If I say I am not okay, will you help me?, I thought of saying the same to her, but customers should be treated as god's isn't it?.Hence I restrained myself.
But something is really not good today, I have observed that many customers were looking weirdly at me, few stared at me for long time, few laughed continuously and I could hear my name more than once from their tables.
Something is definitely wrong!
Until late afternoon I guess I might have made at least 100 coffees and I observed that Peter worked very hard in the kitchen without complaining a bit, we had only one conversation between us and that was about orders, like "is it ready?" , "two plates pasta for table 10" kind of stuff, he remained calm avoided eye contact with me and completely ignored me.
Damn!, how would I get rid of him!
At around 3pm , we felt relaxed as finally the flow of customers decreased, Peter did all the dishes and I didn't even dare to go near him, his avatar of monster yesterday didn't leave my head yet.
