Angelina's POV

The next morning was quiet and refreshing, David slept in his grandma's guest room, while Don me and George slept in Caravan. I felt weird to have Don in the same caravan as us but I then felt Don is a real gentleman.He didn't disturb us by any means.

As soon as I got up I found George and Don has already left , As usual as part of my routine I brushed my teeth and took bath, it felt really refreshing.

"Good morning mam, Grandma invited you to have breakfast with her" a lady entered the caravan and greeted me.

"Oh!, give me few minutes please" I said stammering.

"Take your own time mam, David sir, Don sir and George sir are waiting for you"

George sir!, how funny!

"Oh!, okay I will come in few minutes"

I quickly brushed my hair and added some simple makeup, the lady didn't leave until I was ready.

"Let me lock it" she said taking the keys of Caravan from me.

"How long have you been living here?" I asked her as she looked very young probably in her early 30s.

"Mam, my parents lost all their property in bush fire, Grandma was kind enough to adapt us, we came here twenty years ago when I was ten year old" she said walking along with me "me and my brother studied in a school nearby, my brother is elder than me, he is doing his masters in a university in Sydney"

"Didn't you go to university?"

"No mam!, my mum is sick , I want to take care of her"

"Wow!, you are such a nice child , god bless you" I said patting on her back.

"Thank you mam, caring about others and loving each other, this is what is taught to us in this village, we are not supposed to gossip, harm others , and we are not supposed to lie, we all wear similar dresses and celebrate together, this is the essence of our lives" she said proudly.

"Good, keep it up"

"All the credit goes to Grandma and her family, David sir donates us all a lot of money, we are highly indebted to them"

I felt proud of David, my respect towards him doubled after listening to the lady.

"Hello mummy" George greeted me as soon as I entered the dining area. I looked at David but he neither smiled nor greeted me happily, he was just staring at his plate.

What happened to him?, is he okay?, I thought to myself!.

"Hello Grandma, hello everyone" I greeted everyone and sat on a chair beside David.

"You know mummy we are all going fishing today, there is a big lake nearby, we can even do kayaking and Don uncle said there is a bird reservoir where in we can see lots of birds" George said taking a big bite of his egg toast.

"Haha, your child is so sweet Angelina, please leave him with me here, I shall take care of him" grandma said patting on my hand.

"Thanks Grandma, do you want to stay back George?" I asked George partially looking at David, he had the sane expression no change.

"I can, but the problem is my mom can't stay even a single day without me" George said giggling and we all laughed together.

I had a hearty conversation with Grandma for few more minutes and expected some kind of response from David but he looked like he wasn't interested st all, he didn't eat anything despite grandma pleading him to have something, I really felt bad for her.

The rest of the day went on with enjoying the beautiful weather of the village, the lakeside was awesome.Me and George enjoyed fishing and kayaking a lot, but I found David to be in a very bad mood. I observed him escaping from me from time to time and speaking a lot with Don.Usually he would try to come to me, touch me , kiss me or least he would ask how am I doing?, but he didn't do any of that.

Why do men behave like this? , we women try to share everything, but they are very secretive, this is why I am afraid of developing relationship with any man, they have the highest number of issues than anyone in this world!.

"Mom!, come let's collect shells!" George yelled at me bringing me out of my reverie.

"Angelina mam, villagers brought us some lunch, can you and George come that way" Don said as me and George were collecting shells.

"I am not hungry" I said without looking at Don "George , I shall collect these for you wash your hands and go and have your lunch" George obliged my orders and left with Don.

"Lina!" I heard the husky voice of David and turned back "come and have lunch please"

"I am not hungry" I said collecting the shells.

"Please, the villagers would feel bad, come along" he said pulling my arm.

"I don't care if villagers feel bad David, tell me why weren't you talking to me normally from morning? , did I do anything wrong? Or.."

"It's nothing!, please come and have lunch, we shall talk later"

"No not until you share what's bothering you"

"Fine!" He shouted angrily and I could see his face turning red with anger, I have never witnessed this side of David at all "dont come and starve here"

Before I could respond anything he left the scene and I looked at him surprised and shocked. Definitely something happened between him and his grandma.

I started throwing stones into the lake as I didn't like myself , I controlled my tears as I don't want to look vulnerable anymore.

I started walking towards the Caravan as the afternoon heat was raising over my head, I felt very hungry but my ego stopped me to go and have lunch with David

"I shall grab something from the fridge" I thought to myself.

Once I reached the Caravan I felt exhausted , but surprisingly I found David stepping off from Caravan and walking towards his grandma house, since I knew the way, I waited patiently until he walked few meters and then I silently followed him.

I found David going into Grandma bedroom and hence I hid myself in the living room in order to eavesdrop and listen to their conversation.

"So what have you decided?, I can't approve if you are still adamant about your decision" I heard Grandma asking David.

"Yes I am and for god's sake, don't play the same trick as Franklin does always, you both always care about money, poor grandpa did so much for you, yet you are greedy, can't you see me happy!" I could hear David scolding his grandma.

"If you don't change your decision, I shall tell Angelina myself that your company has got the twin towers contract, because of which Angelina has lost her canteen, of course she isn't the owner, but my sources said that her late husband and she has a lot of memorable moments related to that cafe" she laughs suddenly as if someone has cracked a big joke " what a nonsense!, how can anyone love a rented cafe"

Hearing those words made my head spin like anything!, what am I hearing?, Did David get the contract to build the twin towers?, that means he has been hiding that from me all these days?, I foolishly cried before him about my cafe and he ..he just took advantage of my weakness all these days!, he of course didn't show any kid of remorse in this issue and never even discussed about it!

I closed my mouth to stop the sounds of my sobbing , I couldn't resist anymore, if grandma is blackmailing David that she would spill the beans, it means that David is well aware of my feelings , he knew that I would feel bad if I come to know about it, yet he kept it as a secret!.

I completely stopped listening to their conversation and tried to walk away from the living room, but all of a sudden I felt the world around me started spinning and I couldn't see anything before my eyes.

I blacked out soon after!
