"Peter!" I said once again looking at him.

He smiled at me wickedly and turned back to look at Rebecca "hey darling how have you been?"

"Hey! What a surprise Peter uncle I am good, how are you?" Rebecca smiled brightly at him.

"That's good to hear , I am well too, may I know what are you both ladies doing here?" he said turning his wheel.

"You and cab driving?quite surprising" I said adjusting myself in the seat.

"Its a part time job,ever since the twin tower project started you know I became jobless, you also know that I am well off, but the problem is I am alone too, so I thought by running Uber I could meet different people everyday, its my way of enjoying"

"Kind of crazy!" I said gritting my teeth.

"So why are you at the court?" He asked again.

"None of your business" I said looking out of the window. I hated the fact that we have to travel with him for forty minutes, every time I look at him I remember his behaviour in my apartment and cafe.

"You need not be so harsh with me Lina, its not fair, we could still be friends"

"No way Peter, and for gods sake don't expect anything from me, I am already tired of the things happening in my life" Thankfully Rebecca was listening to music on her phone.

Oh god!, no more dramas again!, I prayed god in my heart.

"Don't worry I will not push you much, I moved on anyway"

"Good for me!"

"I am in love again, with Nancy the lawyer who fought Rebecca's case in court"

My mouth dropped to ground listening to his words!

"So did Nancy tell you all about us?"

"No!, No!" He literally jumped in his seat " I accidentally looked at Reb's file while I was in her room searching for something. I didn't even ask her any details, else she would be upset, I just read few things and understood..that's all"

How could he do that?, reading some random clients file?, it's unbelievable!, but anyway I felt happy for him.

"I am happy for you Peter, Nancy is a great woman, professional and beautiful hearted human, someone you deserve" I said calming my nerves down and taking a deep breath.

"I am sorry Lina.. for whatever I have done in the past, I am genuinely sorry, I told everything about myself, my habits and everything to Nancy, she happily accepted it all, I am lucky that way you know" he smiled, my heart clenched as I hated Peter so much all these days.

I smiled in return as he parked the car outside my apartment.

"Come and have a coffee uncle" Rebecca offered Peter.

"No Reb, my next ride is waiting for me" I paid Peter which obviously he refused to take.

"No please take it" I insisted and placed the money in his hands.

"Are we still friends Lina?" He said patting on my hand.

"Yes we are Peter, if not for your sake, For Nancy's sake we are" I smiled again and got down from car.

Luckily me and Reb could carry the luggage into apartment. The home felt like heaven when I removed my shoes and sat on the sofa.

"Do you want to eat something darling?" I asked Rebecca as she relaxed herself beside me.

"No I am fine, Mommy I heard our school has canceled our admissions, will you be able to afford a private school?"

"Dont worry honey" I patted her cheek " all is taken care of, Jinsy has arranged your fee and you are placed in a private school, we will visit the school on monday, make sure you prepare for the interview just in case if they ask questions"
