I pick myself up and I head over to see the show. I walk into the tent and I look at everything with awe, it was just as amazing as the first time I went. "NOW LADIES AND GENTLEMEN WE WILL NEED A VOLUNTEER FOR THE LAST TRICK!" The ring mistress shouts. I raise my hand knowing that I most likely won't get called on but I do so anyway. "You! The girl in the middle row on the far right!" She shouts. I point at myself and she shakes his head yes. I walked up to him, "Now for this trick you will be thrown through the air and caught by several people, and then you will balance on top of another, you up for it?" I nod this is what I was good at! "NOW LADIES AND GENTLEMEN SHE WILL CLIMB THE POLE TO GET TO THE TOP!" she shouts pointing at me. I look at the pole and run at it. I scatter it up. About halfway up I realized that I was climbing up the back of it, completely ignoring the ladder. The ring mistress looked impressed, it's not every day you see someone climb like that. Well too late now, I continue to climb, and finally probably fifty feet in the air I'm at the top of it. "NOW SHE WILL JUMP '' I look down, there's a net to catch me, and there's an acrobat that is going to swing out and catch me, easy. I leap into the air and as I start to fall a hand grabs mine. They hold on to me and then throw me to another one. Then I get a thought, they're most likely going to throw me again soon and I can grab a hold of another swing bar. Just like I thought they threw me but instead of me reaching my hand to them, I caught the bar. I hoisted myself up onto it and began to swing. My hands begin to hurt, time to drop! I take one more big swing then I let go. The ring mistress looked terrified, where I was headed there was no one to catch me! Fortunately, I knew where I was headed, I had spotted a pile of landing pads earlier. I fall towards it, and I land in a summer salt. I stand up. The ring mistress runs over to me, "Are you crazy!? If you hadn't been so lucky to land there you could have been seriously hurt!" she yells at me. "But I knew I was going to land there. I noticed the land pads earlier." I replied. "It did look professional, where did you go to train, what school did you go to?" he asks intrigued. "Self-taught!" I say with a smile. "That's amazing!" she states. "How would you like a job here?" she suggested. My eyes light up with joy. "You'll have to ask your parents of course, and you will miss a great amount of school." I look down. "M-my mom disowned me." I try to hold my tears back, but I fail. Tears flowed down my cheeks. "I'm so sorry, I hope you don't mind me asking." She asks. "I-I'm part of the LGBTQ+ community and she's super homophobic." I wonder if he supports it. "That's disgusting. The fact that she kicked you out is despicable!" She says "So then I guess that leaves it up to you!" She says trying to lighten the mood. "YES YES YES!" I say wiping my tears jumping up and down. She held out a contract for me to sign, "Do you have a pen?" I ask. She pulled one out of nowhere. I sign my name. "Now I'll have to give you a tour!" She raises her hands towards the air. "So first, what are you good at, well besides acrobatics." She winks at me. "Well, I do contortion and I'm good at climbing." says. "Okay, let's see contortion." She says. I bend myself back into a backbend and pull my head through my legs and walk towards her. "Very nice! You're the first contortionist, I'll put you in the freak house!" she says. "Sorry I said it like a bad thing, but it's a cool gang. You'll fit right in" She smiles at me, I smile back. "I see you have a backpack, is it full of your things?" She asks. "Yes when my mom kicked me out I had to grab some of my things," I said shyish "Well no time to waste! The trailers are over there. I hope you don't mind sharing one with two people, we don't have enough room. You'll have your own bed though." She says preparing me. "Okay cool! Which one am I in?" I ask. She points at a blue trailer with some paint peeling off. "Ok cool!" I walk over to the trailer, I knock on the door. "Come in." I hear two voices. I walk in and at first, I see nothing, then I look down. I see a pair of conjoined twins. "I'm Stacy!" One head says "And I'm Kacy!" The twins say. " I remember you two!" I said, having a flashback. "So you two eight to nine now?" I ask "Nine and a half!" Kacy corrects me. This was going to be cool. "So what can we help you with?" Stacy asks. "Um, the ring mistress gave me a gig here and said I would be sharing a room with you guys." I said nervously. "Oh, nice! Yeah, Ms. Addison will take anyone in who has talent or is different from the normals!" Kacy says. "You can sleep there." the twins point to an empty bed above theirs. I climb up the ladder and place my backpack on it. "It's cramped," Kacy says "But it's home!" Stacy finishes.
"Well, I think it's amazing!" I said jumping down. "Want a tour of the place?" They ask at the same time "yeah sure!" I follow them out the door. "This is the ring, you've already seen that along with the acrobatic equipment," Stacy says. I follow them through a curtain and see people practicing their acts. "This is Mary the strong woman!" Kacy says. Mary looked to be around thirteen. "These are the acrobats that flung you through the air, Jake and Alex. They're married" She whispered that last part. " It's cute," Stacy says. I nod my head in agreement. It was nice to know that I was not alone in the world. We walk into another room with a girl, and a blindfolded girl throwing knives around her making an imprint of her body. "This is Kora," Kacy points at the blindfolded girl throwing knives. "And that's Nora" Stacy points at the girl that had knives flying in her direction. "And that's everyone!" They both say. "So what can you do?" Stacy asks. "I do acrobat stuff and contortion," I say doing the backbend trick I did earlier. "Cool! I'm assuming she put you in the freak show?" Kacy asks. "Yep," I say, doing a little bow. " We should probably get to bed now," Stacey suggested. "Okay" I follow them back to the trailer. Within five minutes both of them were knocked out. I check my watch, 9:47 it reads. About an hour later I'm still awake and I can't sleep. I creep out of the trailer and walk towards the acrobatics equipment. I climb up the ladder to the top of the tower. I grab the swing bar and jump off the landing spot. I swing through the air, let go of the bar and grab the other bar. I fling myself through the air once again. I stand up on the bar and I swing like how I used to when I was little. I fall backward and catch myself with my legs and soar through the breeze. Suddenly I feel my legs slip. I lose grasp of the bar and I begin to fall. But just as I'm about to hit the floor, someone catches me. I looked up to see who my savior was. It was Mary!
