prologue : bittersweet talks .

It has been weeks since shadowmoth's announcement , ladybug's fall; was when she lost every single miraculous except for the cat & the ladybug . A permanent frozen face , emotionless— of course , it was quite worrisome to see their optimistic class representative cheeks fall to a frown . Marinette barely stared at Adrien , talked to Alya , talked to anyone even . Everything felt too much , everything was so much . She's tired .

The bell rings , marinette stands up . takes her bag , walks out . weird . "Marinette—.." Adrien stops her by the hand. "My dad allowed me to invite you guys to my house.. i was wondering if you and alya could come along!" Adrien invites , dropping marinette's hand; however , Marinette's eyes were filled with horror and fear . Are you Felix ? Is this another trap ? Another joke ? Marinette simply stormed off . 

Alya followed Marinette , however not a word escaped from the girl. She was so tired— exhausted, upset , disappointed in herself for failing a singular task she was trusted to do . Of course , the only thing Alya could do right now is give Marinette space because there's no one in the world who could understand what she's going through— she's again all alone , back from the start; however it isn't all so bad .. She has Chat Noir , isn't that enough? 

When Ladybug Costume was once so tiring , it became her sense of coping because there she knew her prince would be waiting for her. As she laid her head down chat noir's lap , both of them stared at the starry sky in Paris . After all there's beauty in destruction , While Chat Noir stared at the night sky . Ladybug was staring at his emerald eyes , she got caught staring . "M'lady, is there something you wish to tell me? You've been staring at me for a while." Chat Noir asks.

"It's.. just a little less tiring being with you kitty." She said , forcing a smile with a single chuckle that follows . "I haven't been getting rest lately so i guess.. this is my rest for a little while." Ladybug did look tired , her muscles ached & so did her heart; knowing she has so many other problems to face other than the fact in her eyes , Adrien felt like a parasite . Someone she didn't want to see anymore , her love for him felt so bittersweet . "If you want bugaboo, you can have a purrfect nap here.. i'll keep watch for you in the meantime."

"doesn't that feel a little dangerous though?"

"I won't look away, I'll just be here protecting you and Paris for the meantime."

"Maybe just a little.. nap won't hurt right.." A gentle pat on her head , he simply just let her rest . a weak smile grows on his cheeks , after all it's always been them against the world , against all odds . In the end , they'll be the ones fighting . 

Ladybug grows fast asleep; As Chat Noir starts his random mumbles . "You know M'lady.. you're probably too tired to hear my little rant but, There's this girl in my class.. she's always been there for everybody , lately.. I worry about her, she's always so gloomy these days.. She reminds me a lot of you, maybe it's because of how strong both of you are…" he whispers , "That girl.. means a lot to me, it's really sad i don't know what to do.. she looks at me like i'm some parasite.. haha.." Chat noir's face just softened, as he continued to blabber about this friend of his— however his description for her seemed so far off what a friend would describe their fellow kin . 

"You must like her a lot, huh?" Ladybug drowsily said , Chat Noir panics retracts his blushed face. "She's just a really special person to me, of course! no one would beat how you're the number one in my heart bugaboo!" Chat Noir says , giving his ladybug a loving stare . Ladybug says nothing but a smile on her face , a tint of blush . "Yeah?"

However after their night patrol , both of them returned to their respective houses . Again , Adrien couldn't help but worry for his friend Marinette— his cheeks burned with his sudden realization that he may have cared for marinette more than he thought . A not so good friend-friend . plagg claws out! he transformed , as he let his own worry carry his feet to Marinette's house . She's on her balcony , probably in her 3rd cup of coffee; She does want to stay awake doesn't she ? Another sleepless night for her , Being Ladybug wasn't even her healthy energy anymore; She runs on pure adrenaline .. but then again , that girl truly is miraculous right?
