Angel In The Shadow

Chapter 3

His POV 

I feel a pair of eyes on me causing me to look up from my book and see a girl staring at me in shock.  I don't really know why she's looking at me the way she is. It's kind of confusing me. I raise one eyebrow so signal to her that I have no idea what she's doing. 

She quickly looks away. "We have a shy one" I tell myself. I pack my stuff up and walk towards her. This is gonna be fun.

I walk up behind her  " Hello there" I say 

She turns around and looks me up and down several times analyzing my body.

"Hey." she says with confidence 

Maybe she's not as shy as she looks

She holds out her and and says " I'm Emersyn, and you are?"

I shake her hand "McKay, Caleb McKay" 

"Why are you watching me love?" I say as I let her hand go 

Her face goes red and her eyes widen. "I-I-I wasn't" she stutters 

"Alright then, why are you at the library this early?"

"Couldn't sleep. I like to read to calm my nerves. Why are you here so early? How come I haven't seen you before?" she questions. 

"You're a curious little one aren't you?" I state.

"No just trying to make small talk" 

"What car do you drive?"  

She looks at me weirdly as if I'm a stalker or trying to kidnap her.

"Umm why?" her face turns red 

"Blue jeep?" I question

"Y-Yeah" she sounds less confidant 

I continue only for my pleasure. Walking closer to her I say " You stopped at a red light right before the library road?" 

"Uh y-yes" 

I lean in close to her ear and say "Staring is rude you know."

I pull back, look her up and down, wink and start heading for the library exit doors.

I walk out of the library, hop into my Truck and turn the heat on straight away. I look at the clock 7:00am. Great I still have an hour before school. I should have time to drive home and grab my shit before I have to be there. Not to mention that I have to get to that hell hole 20 minutes before so I can get a tour. 

I just moved to America and I needed to enroll at GreenHigh to finish my 12th grade. I went to the library to try and find a map of the school but Instead I found one of my comfort books and decided to read that instead of looking for what I was supposed to look for.

Once I get home the time reads 7:30. Fuck I need to hurry I run in the house only to be body slammed right into the wall by my older brother. He's hated me ever since I was 10 and he was 13. Rough times. we both go through the wall. He may be older but I always win. I get myself into survival mode. My brother would kill me if he had the chance. Luckily that won't be happening today.

I get up and throw myself on top of him, grabbing his shirt and start punch his face over and over until I feel a pair of arms grip around my waist and pull me off. I look over my shoulder and see my dad. His face filled with anger, red hot anger. 

Have I mentioned that my father hates me as well? Now you know. welcome to my life where everybody hates me with a passion. Some of them only hate me because I look like my mother. I would love to get into further details but I have a problem to take care of. 

"Get out of my fucking sight before I shoot you both" He says through gritted teeth.  

I run to my room and grab my school supplies. I open my window not wanting to see either of them. I jump down 2 stories and run to my truck. 8:03 great I guess I'm not gonna get a tour.

Hello loves I'm so sorry I haven't posted in a long time but school has been crazy. I'm on Easter break so I do not have any homework and I thought I should write you guys another chapter. Again so sorry for the wait. Love you all -Ray
