Pre-sequel: I want to be yours

The first meeting

Mom & dad: Happy birthday to you~! Happy birthday to you~! Happy birthday dear Jahoonnie~! Happy birthday to you~!

Mom: Good morning our sweet little baby~ Happy birthday~

Jahoon: Mommy! Daddy!

I woke up to my mom and my dad walking into my room with a birthday cake and singing for me. It was my 3rd birthday. As a kid who doesn't know anything better, I just threw away my blanket and jumped on both of my feet in the bed before wrapping my arms around my mom's neck. Mom giggled at me and wrapped her arms around my body, pulling me tighter to her. Dad had placed the cake on a table nearby and wrapped his arm around mom and me.

Dad: How is my now big baby girl doing? Are you ready for your birthday?

Jahoon: Yes! I'm going to have the best birthday ever!

Mom and dad looked at each other with a big smile and chuckled at small me.

Mom: Then let's hurry up and get you in a bath so that we can celebrate. We also have some friends coming over for your birthday.

Jahoon: No~ Jahoonie don't want to take a bath~

Mom picked me up and took me to the bathroom, meanwhile, dad took the cake into the dining room, where he and mom had prepared for the guests. After mom finished bathing me, she let me play in my room while she helped dad finish.

Mom: Hoonie~! My dear~! Come down please~! The guests are here~!

I placed my toys neatly away and grabbed Mr. Bear, which was my favorite teddy bear. A teddy bear that I had gotten since I was born and have been sleeping with ever since. Where ever I am Mr. Bear is there also. I walked down the stairs slowly as I still wasn't that tall yet to walk down comfortably. When I finally got down, I looked up to see mom looking at me with a smile.

Mom: Come here, baby. I want you to meet someone.

I walked over to mom while hugging Mr. Bear tightly, covering most of my face only being available to see my eyes. I walked to stand beside my mom and saw two other women standing in front of her. They looked at me when they noticed me.

???: Hello dear~ You must be the beautiful birthday girl of the day~

I nodded shyly as I leaned closer into mom's legs, almost trying to hide behind her leg. The women chuckled at me. The woman who had just talked looked in the direction of the living room.

???: Jiyeon! Come here, sweetie!

???2: You too Luda!

Suddenly two small girls ran over to us with big smiles on their faces. They looked at me and were about to get closer when I hid behind my mom. I could hear my mom chuckle at me before she got down on her knees and wrapped her arm around me.

Mom: You don't have to be scared sweetie~. These two women here are mom's friends and these girls are their daughters.

I looked at mom as she nodded at me that it was okay. I took a few steps closer to the girls in front of me as they smiled at me.

Jiyeon: Hello! My name is Jiyeon! Nice to meet you! Let's be friends!

Luda: Me too! I'm Luda!

Jahoon: I'm Jahoon... It's my birthday today...

Jiyeon: Really?! Let's celebrate it!

Luda: Anything you want to do?

I looked at their moms who smiled at me and gave me a nod that it was okay. I turned to look at mom, who quickly understood what I wanted.

Mom: It is your birthday honey. You can do whatever you want today.

Jahoon: I want to play on the swings.

Luda: What the birthday girl wants, the birthday girl should get.

Jiyeon's mom: Now, take good care of each other while you are outside, and don't leave each other alone.

Luda's mom: Also remember not to talk with strangers.

Luda & Jiyeon: Yes, mom!

Jiyeon: Come on Jahoon! Let's go!

Jiyeon grabbed my hand and held it tightly as she brought me to the entrance. Luda walked beside us and helped me put on my shoes.

Jahoon: Thank you unnie~

Luda giggled as she patted my head. Jiyeon grabbed my hand again after putting on her shoes and we all made our way outside to the garden, where my parents had put up swings and a sand playground, so I didn't need to go far away to play. When we got to the swings Luda helped me up on one of them and walked behind me to push me.

Luda: Hold tightly Jahoon. We don't want you to fall off.

Jahoon: But Mr. Bear...

Jiyeon: You can still hold Mr. Bear. Just hold the swing with one hand like this.

Jiyeon showed me how to do it and I copied her. Then Luda began swinging me slowly to make sure that I wasn't going to make off but still being little it was the most fun for me. The whole day they played with me and stayed by my side. Giggling with me and playing with me and that is how I came to meet them.
