Kurayami Hikari has experienced many misfortunes since she was born — her father turned into a demon and being killed, the people of her village shunning her after claiming her to have brought nothing but death and evil upon their home — leaving her with no choice but to run from her home.
Lost and left with nothing but the clothes on her back, Hikari doesn't know where her feet take her but she runs. Far from the people cursing and condemning her, until she finds shelter at an abandoned home where she happens to cross paths with a man whose hair was akin to flames, a bright maroon that burned brighter than the sun, feeling a warmth emitting from his crimson eyes she had never felt before.
This is where her journey begins, and upon meeting this man she soon becomes the first Rain Pillar — and, along the way, experiencing a once in a lifetime love she didn't know she needed, yet yearned for terribly. Yoriichi Tsugikuni would heal the scars of her soul, becoming the answer to her prayers — a heaven sent angel of redemption.
