CHAPTER ONE────𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗗𝗘𝗠𝗢𝗡 𝗦𝗟𝗔𝗬𝗘𝗥 𝗖𝗢𝗥𝗣𝗦
❝ she anticipated the moment she'd get to speak with the one who saved her.❞
WHISPERS SPREAD THROUGH the Demon Slayer Corps, the news that their most skilled slayer had brought in a strange woman to their organization coming as a surprise to them. The woman was taken care of by the Corps' medics, having yet to regain consciousness.
It was now morning, Yoriichi drinking freshly brewed tea and having breakfast with his brother, Michikatsu Tsukiguni. His brother had bombarded him with questions regarding the woman, brooding as per usual.
"Yoriichi are you certain it was wise to bring in someone who has no knowledge of our organization? What if she exposes us? She can't be trusted. What if she's a demon? For all we know she could be planning something against us," the gruff man ranted.
Yoriichi's composure remained tranquil unlike his brother's feral like behavior. He moved his teacup away from his lips, his eyes closed. "I am certain she is not a demon. My sight indicated that to me. I shall speak with her once I receive news of her," Yoriichi replied calmly to Michikatsu's annoyance.
"Don't expect me to trust her so soon. She most likely knows nothing about Demon Slayers either." Michikatsu huffed. Yoriichi remained quiet, his face betraying no emotion. His brother was quick to judge, hot headed by nature. It didn't stop him from loving his brother deeply nonetheless, although he would expect this sort of reaction from him.
A knock sounded on the entrance to Yoriichi's estate. One of the nurses entered upon receiving Yoriichi's permission. "Yoriichi-san, I've come to inform you that the lady you rescued has regained consciousness."
Yoriichi politely nodded to the nurse. "Very well. I will come to visit her once I have time to spare."
Yoriichi's crow then flew in from the window, landing on the burgundy haired man's shoulder. Signifying he had a mission. Yoriichi stood up from his spot, having finished his morning tea. He turned to his brother, "Michikatsu, if there is more news concerning the lady please do notify me upon my return. I must leave now."
Michikatsu only grunted in response. Yoriichi took it as a sign for him to set off. The man huffed as he finished his breakfast, an idea forming in his mind.
