Sarah rushes down the street and turns the corner of 4th and Freemont St. Her nervous steps and heavy breath continue as she walks over the threshold of Freemont Motel. The building's decaying interior matches its tenants. The chemical air burned her lungs, and the exposed wiring on the ceiling displayed how much the owners cared for this place. No matter how bad the atmosphere, though, the motel managed to stay standing. Purely based on the need of people up to no good.

Sarah made her way through the lobby of the Freemont hotel with a purposeful step, past the front desk, and into the elevator. The doors closed and she started to rise

She was meeting with a lawyer from the local law firm to discuss a new job opening. Fresh out of college, Sarah was lucky to even be considered for the position, let alone given an interview. The location was strange for an occasion like this but her mind was too focused on the interview itself. She was asking herself every possible question she could think of from 'Why do you want this position?' to 'What did you have for breakfast this morning?'. She was not going to let this opportunity pass her by. Sarah had done everything she needed to be there, and now was the moment of truth.

The lawyer, on the other hand, has something else on his mind. His sinister thoughts didn't match his exterior. His smile was charming and the way he talked could make anyone fall in love. His mind was on something else, or rather someone else. He had been wanting to meet Sarah for a while, but not for the interview. He had seen Sarah walk into the office to inquire about a job and immediately knew that she was the one. She was the only one who could pull this job off without a hitch. Sitting alone in a dingy motel room, he patiently awaited Sarah's arrival.

Finally, she knocked on the door.

His head perked up as he asked, "Who is it?"

"It's Sarah," She replied in a sturdy yet pleasant voice.

The lawyer made his way to the door and opened it with a smile. "Come on in."

Sarah smiled nervously as she made her way to a small chair in the corner of the cramped room.

"I know, This place is super fancy and professional," He said with a sarcastic tone, "Let me introduce myself. My name is Brendon." He held his hand out for a handshake.

Sarah took his hand and said, "My name is Sarah...but you already knew that" she said with a small laugh.

He took a seat on the full sized bed in the middle of the room; only a few feet from Sarah.

"So, I had a look at your resume..."

Sarah held her breath and waited for him to continue.

"I think you're perfect for the job." He said with delight.

Sarah allowed herself to breathe.

"But I can't hire you without conducting a full interview. Lucky for you I have a different idea. A proposition if you will." Sarah shifted nervously making the chair creak. "If you can complete one little task for me, you're hired. If not...well..."

"I'll do it," she said.

"I haven't even told you what it is," Brendon said with a smirk.

"I've done and will do anything to get this job." Sarah regretted saying that as soon as it left her mouth. She didn't want to seem desperate or crazy.
