Chapter Twenty-Three

We walk out of the building, but all the guys are a little mad and upset. I wouldn't blame them, but I have a feeling those guys won't be bothering with us anytime soon.

We get to the crew vehicle, to which Evan drives, and Delirious is in the front. I sit in the back middle, and on my right is Lomasi, to my left is Trinity. The others are making due in the back in the bed. When everyone was settled back there, we were off to the apartment so Lui could patch us girls up, with help from the others.

"Thank you." Trinity says.

"W-what?" I ask, confused.

"If it wasn't for you, we would've been in worse shape than we already are. We owe you big time." Trinity continues.

"No you don't." I look down, but I can sense that Vanoss is looking in the mirror, and Delirious turned around. The window door in the middle of the back glass was opened, so I know all the guys could hear, too. I know everyone is listening so I don't keep them waiting. "If it wasn't for me, we wouldn't be in this mess. If it wasn't for me, you girls wouldn't be like this. If it wasn't for me, then--"

"If it wasn't for you, Vanoss wouldn't have a girlfriend." I look up to see Delirious trying to cheer me up.

"If it wasn't for you, then we wouldn't have a family pet!" I turn to see that Mini had said that.

"If it wasn't for you, Lomasi and I probably wouldn't be together!" I know it was Lui.

"We wouldn't be as close as we are now!" Nogla says.

"Delirious and I wouldn't have learned how to be steathy!" Wildcat.

"Trinity and I would still be the only ones to keep these guys in line." Lomasi.

"We wouldn't have another sister!" Moo.

Everyone looks to Vanoss, expecting him to say something. He finally does. "We wouldn't have learned to calm each other down. We wouldn't be able to work together as good as we do now. And I.. Wouldn't have found the love of my life. We wouldn't have found another fantastic girl to join our little, unique, dangerous, and weird family."

I felt tears filling my eyes. I was so happy. I'm finally glad that I feel like people out of my blood related family loves me. I say blood related, because these people, are part of my family now. I now know that I can trust them to get me out of trouble, to cheer me up, to talk to about anything, and to be there for me while I'm here, which I plan on staying here, for probably the rest of my life.

We get home, and even though we have a few injuries, we enter the apartment with huge smiles. We walk in through the door, and Lui escorts me to the kitchen, where I sit on the island, waiting to be treated. He exits the kitchen, to probably get a medical kit to treat my wounds. I look into the living room, and I see Moo bandaging up the other girls. Vanoss comes into the kitchen, and takes my hand. I'm guessing he knows what's coming up.

Lui comes back, and he examines my arm. The scratch is more than just a scratch. It's a huge and deep cut down my whole bicep. Lui goes to his medical kit, and takes out the stuff needed for stitches. I look to Evan, who now has his mask off, and he gives me a soft smile, indicating that he'll be there for me. Lui takes my left arm in his hands, and starts to poke holes in my arm, which is very painful.

"Just squeeze my hand, okay Kenz?" I nod, and start to squeeze, and he squeezes back. He rubs the back of my hand with his thumb. I loosen my grip, so I don't stop the blood flow to his hand. Lui is still giving me stitches, when Tyler decides to join in on the fun in the kitchen.

"Man, how are you not crying or screaming?" He asks.

I simply respond, "I am on the inside!"

Everyone laughs, even the people in the living room. I guess I can't really wonder how they heard me, considering that there is literally no wall between the kitchen and living room.

"Oh, I almost forgot!" Evan suddenly says. "Tyler, could you take her hand for her to squeeze?"

We both give him a look. "Uhh.. Sure." He replies, confused.

I get a smile on my face as he takes my hand. He says, "What are you smiling about?"

"I'm just waiting for Lui to--" Then Lui starts on another stitch. That's my cue. I squeeze Wildcat's hand as hard as I can, more than I actually needed to, and he silently screams in pain. This gains me another smile, and earns another round of laughs from everyone.

Lui finally finishes, and he managed to put twenty-six stitches in my arm.

"Thank you, Lui." I say

"It's no problem." He replies.

He wraps my arm in a bandage, to make sure that they stay there, and we enter the living room. I wonder where Vanoss went.

I listen to the conversations going on in the living room. Of course, Nogla and Trinity are cuddling, talking to Moo and Mini. Lui goes over to Lomasi and sits next to her, then puts his arm around her shoulders. They start a conversation with Wildcat, Marcel and Delirious. Nogla, Trinity, Moo and Mini are talking about when we should all go to the beach, I wouldn't mind going when my arm heals and I get a swim suit, but I keep to myself. The others are talking about training sometime soon, and get me to be better at everything, which I'm nervous for..

Finally, Vanoss enters and he's carrying.. Oliver!

I jump from my seat and the little one licks my nose happily. Everyone looks away from their conversation to see the mini reunion. Vanoss sets him in my arms, and takes a seat on the couch. I sit next to him, and Oliver sits in my lap, wagging his tail slightly. Everyone turns their attention to Evan.

"What do you think we should do now?" Nogla asks.

"Hmm.." He thinks. "How about tomorrow, we go to the training grounds and just train a little bit." Trinity looks a little upset, and Evan notices. "We'll go to the beach when everyone is healed up. Now's a good time to get used to fighting while injured." She smiles, and nods her head, understanding.

They go back to their regular conversations, and Evan turns to me. "I'm glad you're alright, Kenz." He leans over, and kisses my cheek.

I smile, and look to him when he pulls away. "I'm glad I can finally say I love you. So you're the one in this group who has liked me all along?" He nods. "Marcel said it would be obvious, and it was. I just thought no one could ever love me.." I look down.

"We all do.. I do.." He says, taking my jaw in his hand, turning me to him. He leans in, and we kiss. Softly and slowly. "I love you."

I smile, I don't think I've smiled this much about a boy in over two years. "I love you too."

"Get a room!" Mini yells, which makes everyone laugh.

I know I've said this already, but I'm really glad they decided to take me in, and make me part of this family. I'm glad they saved me just a week ago, and I'm glad I've gotten the chance to get to know everyone. Although I miss my family in Texas, and I regretted moving in the first place, but I had a reason to move here. And that, was to run into these goofballs. My reason was to love Evan. My reason was to be the newest family member of this group. These people, have changed me in more ways than one. And I have a feeling, they're gonna change me even more, but for the better.

I might put another chapter of them training for the last chapter of this book. If I do that, then it will lead into the sequel. Sound good? So I for sure am doing a sequel!! I will notify everyone when it is out!!
