America's POV
I turn my head and see my mother. Queen Amberley "Maxon what happened to her!?" Her voice full of worry for me " father" was maxon's only answer " a few days ago he whipped her for agreeing to marry me and today he whipped her because she told me." His voice broke at the last few words. "How many times today. Maxon lashed out "I don't know ok! He locked me in the damn bathroom!" He shouted at his mother. "35" I said my voice was barley whisper "he hit me 35 times" I cried. The queen started to rap me in bandages and maxon took my hand. I closed my eyes.
I woke up in maxon's bedroom. In the chairs beside my bed I saw maxon and Queen Amberley. Maxon was asleep but the queen was awake. "Mom." I said my voice was very quiet. "Hey, honey. How are you feeling?" She asked "should I wake maxon?" "No" I responded "let him rest. I feel fine." I added. Which wasn't a complete lie just not the hole truth. My back hurt a little and I was really thirsty. I saw maxon's beautiful chocolate brown eyes open. He started to stroke my hair. "Hey." I said trying to get his attention. "Hey." He answer his voice full of kindness. "Maxon, can I have some water." I ask him. My throat is still really sore from screaming so much last night. But I wasn't going to tell him that. He stands up and walks to the bathroom a few minutes later he returns with a glass full of water. I drink the entire glass. "Mom can I speak with you outside for a minute?" Maxon asks his mother. She nods "America all you need to do is yell for one of us we will be right outside. I promise." Maxon leaned in and gave me a short kiss. After they left the room I closed my eyes and fell asleep.
Sorry about the short chapter. I was running out of ideas. But the next chapter I will try to make extra long! Please comment and give me some pointers. This is my first time sharing my stories. Please share with you friends! Sorry if the next chapter is awful.
