First of all, it was pretty good. I liked the writing style and the whole book was not too long. You know when a fanfic/book is too long and ends up boring you? This book ain't like that.
The 22 chapters were of varying length and blah blah blah. Onto the story.
It was a Percy Jackson/Avengers crossover which was written pretty well. The way they meet is kinda authentic and makes sense. However, certain subplots were highly unnecessary(but maybe it had smn to do with their other book?)
The plot line of the story is pretty straightforward. A new prophecy. Which ofc has Percy. And he fights. Duh.
Percy runs away from NY after some squabbles and starts a bar, named aptly 'The Sea of Monsters'.
But there were a bit too much of unnecessary background like what he was doing when he ran away. Like come on...a bar scene and fights were really unnecessary.
In this book, Percabeth is over. But we get a new ship!!! I honestly loved Percy x themysteriouspersonwhomI'mnotgoingtoname's interactions and would have loved to get more!!!
But the author wrote him a stand-alone book so my wishes were answered lmao.
The fight scenes were a little less detailed that I'd like but who am I to judge 🤷🏻♀️ when I don't even know how to write one.
There were a few confusing moments which don't make sense but the book is definitely worth it.
So the part of the story I ABSOLUTELY loved was a funeral scene(I won't tell you whose 😏). The description was pretty cool and definitely up my alley. And I did sense my mom cutting up onions while all of us were in bed.
One of the bad things I have to say about it is the fact that the ending didn't make much sense to me. It took me asking the author to understand.
Overall a solid and entertaining fanfic
