Christina (hehe new pov)
I bite my bottom lip as I take a few steps back from TOBIAS watching the color drain from his face. His little outburst about Zeke practically made him forget Zeke was actually taken. I sling on my coat since it was cold. The only problem with our mission right now is there's really no place to begin.....
Tobias pulls his coat off the rack wrapping it around him snugly and follows me out of his apartment. He about takes off in a full sprint and I almost have to keep a laugh back because if there's anything we don't want. That's attention. I pull back his arm and murmur.
"Don't seem suspicious. There could be cameras anywhere". I was surprised how low my voice could go and my own words creeped me out a tiny bit but, I was used to it after I joined Dauntless though.
Tobias nods firmly, he motions me down a hidden hallway I didn't know existed. It was narrow and long. My legs ached a little bit since they weren't as toned anymore. Not after eating the worst foods around and grieving. Which meant sleeping on the couch all day and forgetting about everyone else that exsisted in my life. That means Zeke to.
"Where are you taking me?" I whisper. I was nervous around him. I have to admit it. I never get scared of people, I'm usually overly perky and happy to be around people I call "friends", but Tobias was a bit of a hot head and Tris meant more than the world to him, I was just scared he would pin me against the wall and say some offense stuff then suffocate me till I pass out and die. I should know better but that vision keeps flashing in my mind every time I meet his dark blue eyes. That I remember being a lighter blue.
"To the control rooms, before I became an initiation trainer I worked infront of the cameras. I can hack in again and get video footage from earlier and see exactly were Zeke was taken and where." Tobias says seriously. His face is focused one way. That's one thing I admire about him. He focuses his attention on what really is important. And that's Zeke right now.
Tobias starts reading off the numbers of the doors mumbling them under his breath as he passes them.
"237..238...239...240!.. Stay back" he whispers clearing his throat that sounded right like he would cry any second.."not sure if anyone will be in there and I'm not risking leaving you. If anyone catches either of us... It's a bullet shot right through the head immediately.. Keep an eye out alright. Tell me if you see someone coming even near this room". He places a firm hand on my shoulder so are eyes meet. He narrows his eyebrows excepting an answer immediately.
"Go Tobias stop wasting time, and thinking I will betray you alright!" I shove him with the little strength I have left to the door.
He props open the door, the only door without a padlock on it... It locked pryed off. But that's probably a story for another time.
Tobias peeps in more a minute. There's only one guy sitting INFRONT of the computer his headset is on so he can't hear either of us talking. It still isn't safe if the man looks over for even a second both of us are dead. He will ring up all the guards and have them take us for a death penalty. He looks like he's new to the whole ting and he is young. Very young. He doesn't even seem to realize that Dauntless went through a whole war with all the other factions less than 3 years ago...
Tobias looks around for something his eyes flashing around the room. The man stretches his head back and catches Tobias standing there looking like a fool.
"Your not supposed to be here!" He screams his hand extends to a little chip on his headset that will ring up anyone he needs to.
Tobias hurls over to the man, whose name is apparently Garret, and takes the cord from his headset and wraps it tightly around Garret's neck.
Garret chokes and spits, his face is a tomato red and his hands reach toward the cord trying to pry it off but it is no use. He finally goes limp for a moment. Then he collapses on the ground, toppling his coffee all over himself.
