(Maggie)
She sat there looking at a pale Ace. She always hated hospital. Some many people in trouble and she could do nothing about it. Yeah she had her mother's caring soul.
She sat in the room just watching Ace and the machines that helped him breath even though his body should be doing that. Her father hadn't seen her since the day he had come to get her from the hospital and she denied him. All she could do was wait. The only question remained was how long would she wait if he didn't come out of the coma when the doctors removed the medicine keeping him in it?
His family had come and even though she tried to talk to them, they ignored her, but never had her removed from the room. Which she was grateful for. It had been more than two month's, she had dropped out of the public villain school and started to work on line schooling. Her grades had been better with the online program than the actually schooling. And for that she was happy.
The doctors and his family all came in. "Maggie, I think it's time. It's been two month's since they tried to pull him out of the medically induced coma. And he's made no recovery. It's time."
"I know it's just hard for me to say goodbye, you know?" She asked Kat, who finally acknowledged her. She nodded and looked at her unconscious brother.
"Okay. Go ahead." She watched as the doctor moved towards the machine keeping him alive. She heard a gasp from behind her and looked down at Ace.
"Hey Maggie." He sighed. The air left her lungs, she felt as if she was choking, happiness swelled within her. She ignoring everyone speak kiss him with a passion she didn't know she had. She felt a hand touch her face and placed her hand over his.
Tears were streaming down her face Ace asked with concern, "What's wrong?"
"I never thought you would wake up!" she cried into his chest. His arm was resting on her back when he asked, "When can I go home?"
Maggie looked up at the doctor. "I would like to keep you here for the rest of the week, but if everything is alright you showed be able to go home within the week."
After his family left, he moved over on the bed, and Maggie climbed up and snuggled next to him.
"So did you have any flashbacks of your life or anything?" She asked him.
(Ace)
He swallowed hard debating weather or not to tell her his coma dream. He remembered it so clearly that it was as if this moment her was a dream. "Yes, I had a dream."
"And?" She looked up at him with a questioning look.
"And I think you should tell me what you've been doing these past few month's." He suggested avoiding the subject at hand.
"Easy praying, switching to online schooling, cursing you for getting into a fight with Pain. Really why would you do such a thing?"
"I didn't like him with you."
"Why?"
He looked away.
"You were jealous that I gave him my attention weren't you?"
"Of course I was! How was I not to?"
"Baby, I only did that to get your attention. I mean his nice and all but... Oh and if you come at me again I will kill you even if that means I have to kill myself. Now tell me about your dream."
He sighed, knowing her she wasn't about to give up. Pulling her closer he started, "Well I woke up and I was in a beautiful house, you were my wife, and we..."
"We what?"
"We had a son, his name was Flynn. Both of you looked beautiful together I wish to god that it was our life. There was no Batman, no Joker, no Harley Quinn, just us and our family we were all normal people. And we were happy." He sighed.
Looking at Maggie there was hope in her eyes. Hope. That was a ne feeling for him. Growing up in a house that had nothing to do with hope, he enjoyed this feeling and he knew that as long as he had her nothing would ruin it.
