What Now

Fallon closes her eyes before she can see the results. She flips the other four tests over and waits a moment. She takes a deep breath and forces herself to open her eyes. Her heart speeds up as she reads the five positives.

A million thoughts race through her head. She's too young to have a baby. How could she be so stupid? How will Miles react? Will he want her to get an abortion?

Does she even want the baby? She's not ready to be a mom. The mind at war with the heart. What a tragic thing. She takes a deep breath. Of course, she's going to keep the baby. Mile's is going to be happy; she tells herself.

We're married, he loves me, how could he not be okay with this? How would she tell Miles? Then she has a brilliant idea. This could her Christmas present to him.

Two birds with one stone. One baby size stone. She notices the tears streaming down her face. Why was she crying? She couldn't tell if they were tears of joy or fear.

Probably both. She wipes her face then unlocks and opens the bathroom door. She sees Chloe sitting on their couch with Luke who must've just joined her.

They both stared at her wide, intrigued eyes. She just nods and Chloe jumps up and runs over to her.

"Wow, I'm so happy for you. Wait, you're excited right?"

"And overwhelmed," Fallon adds after nodding at her. Chloe just hugs her tightly.

"Everything's going to be fine." She says with a smile.

"Could you guys keep this a secret for a couple of days? I think I'm going to tell him on Christmas." They both nod smiling. They say a quick goodbye and Fallon walks over to her and Miles' house.

She goes straight to the kitchen not having finished her lunch. She makes herself a sandwich and walks towards Miles' office. She walks in without knocking.

"Hey what are we doing for Christmas?" She asks him.

"Could we spend it with my dad? It must be hard without my mom." She adds.

"Of course, I'll arrange for us to leave on Christmas eve." She smiles and turns around.

"Thanks!" She says walking out and shutting the door behind her. She walks up to their room and pulls out her phone. Two days until Christmas eve. Her heart sped up at that thought.

She dials the doctor's office, and schedules an appointment for the next day, deciding she needs to know for sure before telling Miles. The rest of the day Fallon spends watching movies with Sawyer.

The next morning Fallon wakes up to an empty bed. Before she can comprehend it, she's running towards the toilet. After puking and washing her mouth, she gets dressed.

She looks at her phone and sees it almost ten, meaning she slept in. Needing to be at her appointment by eleven, she walks down to Miles's office and walks in.

"Hey, I need to go some places, I'll take Chloe and the boys." She says with a smile.

"Where are you going?" He asks confused.

"I need to check on a Christmas present." She responds, mentally patting herself on the back.

Before he can respond Fallon walks up and kisses him. "I love you."

"Love love, princess." He calls back as she walks out.

"You guys ready?" She asks the three usuals. They all nod and walk out to the car.

"I'm driving," Sawyer announces, running over to the driver's door. Chloe just throws him the keys.

Chloe and Harden climb in the back leaving shotgun for Fallon. She gets in but is immediately consumed by the car's air freshener. She jumps out leaving everyone with confused faces.
