Fallon looks over at Chloe and Sawyer who are sitting beside her on the couch watching Criminal Minds.

"Happy Birthday, Fallon!" Harden says walking in the house with Miles.

"Thank you." She shouts as he walks out to the backyard.

"Are you sure we need a party?" She asks turning back around.

"Yes, tonight you will have so much fun and meet new people. Also, we've all been planning this for weeks."

"I don't wanna." She whines with a pout.

"Too bad, you are." He orders leaving her with a pout. They spend the whole morning watching TV before Fallon gets told they need to get ready. They all get up and go their separate ways.

Fallon sees that it's almost seven pm, explaining her hunger. She looks out the window from the bedroom and sees people outside dancing. The only way she agreed to the party was after Miles promised it wouldn't be for her birthday, and it would just be a party.

She hated when everyone stares at her. She watches the flashing lights bounce off of people's faces. She looks at the short dress she picked out and puts it on. She examines herself in the mirror. She plugs her straightener in and walks over to grab her makeup bag. As she waits for the straightener to heat up, she does some natural makeup.

She adds some Chapstick to her chapped lips then walks back over to the iron. She guides it through her red hair, looking at the satisfying lines it leaves. She's about halfway done when she hears the bedroom door open.

"Hey, baby." He says walking up and kissing her.

He jumps in the shower before getting dressed.

"You ready?" Miles asks, holding out his hand. She nods and grabs it. They walk downstairs and see Chloe, Luke, Harden, and Sawyer waiting in the living room for them.

They all walk out the sliding door, joining everyone outside, and split up. Luke and Chloe go off to dance, while Sawyer heads straight to the bar with Harden right behind him. Fallon pulls Miles over to a swing, where they sit down beside each other.

"Miles, look at my life. I'm only 19, and so much has already happened." She explains staring at her new family.

"Most if not all, within the last year. And before you say anything, none of this is your fault. Hands down, the best thing I ever did was marrying you. My life for the last year has been so unproductive. I haven't done anything. Last year I graduated high school, and all I've done this year is survive."

"Sometimes it's okay to just survive, so eventually you can live. You surviving this year is a remarkable thing, don't dull it." He says wiping a stray tear from Fallon's eye.

Fallon thinks, she doesn't want to die and realizes that she never lived. She pity's the people who exist and survive their whole life. Who doesn't get to experience living.

"I'd for sure be dead without you. When we met, I was consumed by suffocating grief, and you were my lifeline." She says, laying her head on his shoulder. He rubs her leg and they just sit in comfortable silence. Fallon watches as everyone runs around happily.

It honestly looks like a scene from a movie. Yes, so much has gone wrong in the last year, but she's also gained so much. She has friends that would die for and a husband who loves her unconditionally. That's what, she's done this year. She found her happy ever after.

"Want a drink?" Miles asks pulling her from her gripping thoughts.

"A waters, fine. Thanks." She requests as he stands up. She watches in complete awe at the life she's been given. Life had been cruel, but it had also given her more in the last year than in her whole life.

She couldn't help but think that if her parents were here, they would be happy for her. For building the life that she wants and that makes her happy, with the people she loves. Miles returns with a glass of water and she slowly sips it.

"Aren't you going to dance?" He asks her with a smile.

"I think I just want to watch for a while." She answers matching his smile. He nods and stays sitting beside her.

Sawyer looks over at Harden who is standing by the bar watching him dance. He walks over to him.

"Come dance." Sawyer pleads.

"Baby, you know I don't dance." He laughs. Sawyer pouts and just leans again Harden. He just looks around, taking in all his surroundings.

Chloe dances with Luke until her feet hurt and she has to take a break. She drags him over to a chair and they both sit down.

"I love you." He whispers to her as she leans her head against his shoulder. Everyone is having a great time. Fallon watches everyone, something she found joy in.

People watching. She drowns out the loud music and blinding lights. She finds the chaos relaxing. She sees couples dancing together, people drinking, and everyone laughing.

Sawyer looks over a Fallon and pushes off of Harden. He walks across the yard to her.

"Hey. You mind if I talk to Fallon?" He asks Miles. He nods and gets up, walking over to Harden.

"I'm glad their friends." She says as Sawyer sits beside her.

"Me too."

"Hey, you remember how you asked what my story was? Well, I want to tell you it. But be warned it's a wild ride." He starts.
