The Light of My Life

Chapter 1:

Since the war humans and monsters haven't seen each other until now. Today was the day humans and monsters would make peace. Everyone would be there, I hope my dad lets me go too. I heard monsters would be there too and that's a great chance to make friends with them. I hope they are nice and not evil like it says in the books. What am I thinking, of course they are nice! They just judge them for being Monsters....

'Hmm... what else should I write..?' Y/N thought to themselves as she was writing in their diary. As she was thinking, a deep loud voice screamed from down stairs making Y/N go back to reality. "Brat come down stairs now!" It was Y/N's dad. Y/N sighs as she gets out of their own room. Going down stairs, she took a look at her father, who was waiting for her next to the stairs. He seemed in a bad mood. When I was down stairs, I tapped my father's arm. He looked down making eye contact with me.

"Do you need anything father..?" Y/N asked as she looked at him. "Yes. I need you to clean this mess you made!" he said, really pissed off as he pointed at the bottles of beer and food that were on the table and the floor. I flinched at the scream he gave me, but then nodded quickly as I looked at the mess. I was about to go clean the mess, when he grabbed my arm pressing it really hard, which I whined of pain. But really low so he couldn't hear my voice in pain. I turned around to look at him and try to hide the pain with a smile.

"..Y-yes father?" I said, my voice

cracking a little at the beginning. As he heard my voice cracking he grinned in an evil way, knowing I was in pain. "After cleaning I want you to go buy me more beer because I don't have any. You understand?" he said, gripping my arm more tightly.

I whined as my smile disappeared, putting on a painful look, but quickly nodding. He then let go of my arm going to his room. Then I noticed it was the chance to ask him if I could go to the event. "Umm father.." I said in a soft voice. He turned around looking at me and said "What?". "Umm after I clean this mess and go buy your beer, would you let me go to the event that everyone is going...?" I said while fiddling with my fingers waiting for my dad's answer.

"Uhh sure. But only this time because I don't want to see your ugly face and plus I'm having some friends coming over. Also, don't be late before 6:30 pm. Now go do your work!?" he said as he was going up to his room. I was surprised that for the first time I could go out and enjoy myself. "Thank you father!" I said with a smile as I prepared myself to clean. "Yeah yeah whatever brat" he said. I looked at the time it was 12:30 pm. 'Y/N L/N you can do this!' I thought to myself as I was filled with determination.

After some time I got to finish cleaning the mess. I looked at the clock and it was 1:09 pm already. The event started at 2:00 pm, I put my l/h c/h hair on two messy buns (short hair down) and got ready to buy the bottles. I put on my shoes and started to run to the store, so I had time to get ready for the event. When I got out of home I closed my eyes because I was scared of getting judged by the colors of my eyes. Despite having them close, I could still see even if I had them close and well yeah my eyes are really rare. I have f/c in the right and red on the left eye.

Sometime later, I got to buy bottles of beer. I was relieved that I could find the type of beer my father likes. As I was going back home, I checked my phone and it was 1:31 pm. My expression changed when I saw the time, as I ran as fast as I could. 'Shoot. I'll be late!'
