"No."

"Midoriya, you don't have a choice in this." Shota sighed as Midoriya angrily pouted on the couch. Apparently the green child hates tests.

"I don't care. I'm not taking that rats creepy test." The greenette then angrily stuck his tongue at the man in a final act of protest.

"The test is only to see what grade level you're at. It's important to help decide what we need to teach you about and prepare you for." Aizawa reiterated for the sixth time.

"I said no! It's a dumb test that will probably only make me feel stupid!" Izuku argued.

"Please Midoriya. Nezu has a lot for you to cover. If you work hard now you can probably get through nearly all of it today." Izuku looked at Aizawa suspiciously.

"If... if I take it, you'll still want me after the results?" Midoriya asked hesitantly. Aizawa felt like he finally understood. The kid technically wasn't lying or beating around the bush, he was just scared of the results and how Aizawa would view him.

"Yes." The man stated firmly.

"Fine."

Hizashi watched as Izuku neared his fifth hour of taking this test straight. It was four PM and Izuku showed no sign of stopping. He was almost done the packet though to Hizashi's surprise. The ridiculous thing was like two or three inches thic! It has something from everything according to Nezu- including College level work. So Hizashi was surprised to see how fast Izuku was going though it. He could only hope Izuku was actually trying and not writing the first thing that comes to mind. After all, that's what he would have done and mind you Hizashi's mind does not nearly work that fast.

"Put that away for a bit problem child, dinners ready." Sho said from the kitchen.Hizashi could not see Izuku's eyes but could feel the eye roll from him.

"You wanted me to do it and now you're telling me to stop? I'm not hungry and I'm almost done this, probably only have like an hour or two left." The kiddo mumbled that last part.

Shota immediately snatched the test from Midoriya before he could protect the thing. "You can finish it after you've eaten a full meal." Shota said sternly.

Midoriya made an odd sound as a sign of offense, Hizashi thinks. The tall man stood from the couch and walked over to the table for dinner. Shota put a large bowl of Yakisoba noodles on the table and sat down. They all gave thanks then started eating. The kiddo didn't take a lot of food but Hizashi knew it would take a bit of time for his stomach to readjust.

"So I was thinking we'd all go to the mall tomorrow to pick up everything you need?" Hizashi asked.

"Are you asking me?" Midoriya asked with a quirked eyebrow.

"Well yeah, if you're not ready or would rather go on another day then we can. I just wanted to make sure it was ok with you." The man answered with a soft smile.

"Right...." Midoriya said skeptically.

By nine PM Izuku finally finished the stupid packet. He hated it. It took forever and all the information in it was easy! Nothing proved to be the challenge he was expecting from the rat.

Izuku had insomnia on good days so what better to do with his time than study? Izuku spent many days studying at Internet cafes and picking through libraries before parole. Izuku could fluently speak English and French, he was doing college level geometry. Izuku liked learning, it was as simple as that.

So when Aizawa told him Nezu, like Nezu of UA, was going to give him a test Izuku got nervous. The damn rat was the smartest creature on earth, anyone in their right mind should be scared. As it seems though, he gave Izuku a very normal test.

Hizashi was still weird today. The man was watching him for quite a while as he took the test. It was super distracting! Then he was asking what Izuku wanted to do and when, like that is super weird. Hizashi is the adult not Izuku which means he is the boss, the decision maker, the authority! Izuku doesn't get why he bothers asking and not just telling him what is going to happen.

Aside from the weirdness of the man, the day wasn't terrible. The test at the very least gave him something to do. The cats have also seemed to have taken a liking to Izuku. Avocado and Mochi liked him a lot with Avocado sitting on his lap most of the day as he worked and Mochi came by every so often for head pats and ear scratches. Biscuit on the other hand did not like him very much. Aizawa said that she doesn't like anyone but Nemuri- whoever that was.

Izuku liked the cats. They were nice to have around and even when he sat alone in 'his' room Avocado was now there laying on his face. Though Izuku could barely breathe, it was very comforting and made Izuku feel less alone and scared. After all Izuku didn't have much, not many possessions, no family, and no pets. Izuku normally only had his thoughts and the occasional vigilante to chat with. Avocado was a welcomed friend to Izuku. Which is why even when she is suffocating him in fur, he will only continue to scrach behind her ear.

Ok so, I went through and changed Yamazawa to Aizawa. I changed it for reasons you will find out in the far future of this book lol.

Also in case anyone was confused as to why Izuku opens up to Aizawa so easily, it's because that's how I wrote it.

😂 I'm sorry I'm kidding! Izuku is scared and stressed and doesn't know who he can trust. But then he has Aizawa, someone he trusted with his life on the streets. He also no longer has his outlet for sadness or rage which was patrolling and starting fires. So I just feel Izuku would dump all his emotional baggage on to Aizawa.

But he does not like anyone else (yet). So he will not have the same reactions to their being there with him or trying to help him etc etc. Also Izuku will not have BPD or DID, I do not know enough about each disorder to properly talk about it. I would feel that I wouldn't do either disorder justice and sense I do not know anyone who suffers from these I do not feel it is my place. I'm sorry if that upsets anyone.

Izuku is a genius. A really bad with mental health genius.

In cannon Izuku said he thought he barely passed the written portion of the test. Personally with all his analysis and free time because he didn't have friends, I just think he'd he really smart ya know? He's just the 'loves to learn' type to me. So I like to think that he is really humble or a bad tester. I think his self esteem was also really bad then so that could have been it to.

Here Izuku used all his free time to study or find bad guys. I mean he didn't have a lot of money so what other free stuff could he do?
