"Where's Aizawa?" Izuku asked the next morning as he finished eating his cereal.
"Oh, last night he got called in to help with a man hunt." Yamada answered sipping his tea. Izuku noticed that he drinks more tea than coffee and thought it was a bit funny considering his husband.
Izuku place his bowl in the sink, "When w-will he be back?"
"Probably not till after lunch. Sho caught the man, but now has to write some reports, give a statement, and the detective asked him to help interview the guy." Yamada said with a soft sigh, "T'is the life of an underground hero I suppose."
"Do you have any p-plans for today?" Izuku asked. It was Monday and Present mic was working three jobs. Izuku was hoping that meant he'd get to be alone for a little while.
"I have to go to UA and work on lesson plans for this comming year and you are having your first therapy session with Inui Ryo." Mic said.
"What? Hound Dog? I thought he was UA's head of security?" Izuku asked confused.
Yamada let out a chuckle, "yes he is, but he is also the guidance counselor and he talks to a lot of the students and even some staff at UA."
Izuku just mumbled a 'huh' and got ready for the day. He did not want to go, but he didn't quite have the nerve to argue with Yamada yet. The man could lash out at him, though Izuku logically knew the chances were low if at all.
The duo left soon after and arrived at UA. The further into the school they walked the more anxious Izuku got. He could technically go anywhere in UA. So he could just escape and hide until Hound Dog was busy. But that would upset Aizawa. Yeah-no he was okay with that right now. After all he left Izuku alone and didn't tell him!
Izuku only had this realization as Yamada opened a door that lead straight to Hound Dog. Izuku turned a full 180° and simply tried to walk away, but Yamada grabbed the back of his shirt.
"Nope! Sorry kiddo! You have to do this, it's mandatory from the courts." Yamada said pulling Izuku into the room. The man, despite his skinny appearance, was very strong. Expected of a hero, but still frustrating.
"Bye Kiddo! I'll be back to pick you up as soon as it's over! If you need me before then just tell Ryo and he'll take you too the teachers lounge." With that Yamada closed the door to the office leaving Izuku alone with the dog-man.
"Would you like to take a seat?" He offered the couch in front of where he was sitting. Izuku eyed him before making his way over to sit. "What are your preferred pronouns? And what would you like to me to call you?"
"Did Aizawa talk to you? Is that why your asking about pronouns?" Izuku asked getting defensive immediately. Stupid Eraser needs to stop telling people about their private conversations!
"No, Aizawa has not talked to me. Those are simply questions I ask all those seeking my help." Hound Dog said calmly.
"Just he and him is fine." Izuku said with a huff. "And you can can just call me Izuku or Deku. I do not like my last name."
"Noted. Is there anything you would like to talk about? Or would you prefer if I gave you prompts?" The dog-man asked again. Izuku did not like these questions. There were too many and Izuku would rather he ask about what he wants to hear and then Izuku could just ignore him.
"I have nothing I want to talk to you about Hound Dog." Izuku replied giving the man a glare.
"You can call me Ryo while we are in sessions. I only use Hound Dog when I'm doing hero work or campus security." He replied first. "How has living with Yamada and Shota been so far? It is to my understanding that this is the first home you've been in the last four years."
So he decided to give a prompt. Izuku just tried glaring harder. He was not going to answer this man's questions. If Izuku answered he was sure Ryo would use it against him somehow.
"You know we do not have to talk about that or anything else that makes you uncomfortable. If you would rather just tell me your likes or dislikes that's fine as well as if you do not want to talk at all." Ryo said after a few minutes of silence.
"So what? Tell you everything about myself so you can go talking to Yamada and the rat? I don't think so." Izuku spat. Even telling him his favorite and least favorite foods was dangerous! What if when they got mad they forced him to eat food he disliked? Or made it so he wouldn't have access to the food he did like?
"Oh my, I sincerely apologize. It must've slipped my mind to explain client confidentiality. Izuku, I legally can not tell people what you say during these meetings. The only two situations where that does not apply are when I believe you are a danger to yourself or others." Ryo explained kindly, "for instance, if you said 'I am going to burn a office building down' I would need to tell the proper authorities. The same goes for if you said you wanted to harm yourself."
"So you can't tell people what I say or did as long as it's not currently hurting people?" Izuku asked cautiously.
"That is correct Izuku."
"Okay..." Izuku wasn't really sure what to do with that information. He wasn't completely sure if what he was saying was true. Izuku then decided to test the man-dog. He would give him a little information and see if anyone brings it up or uses it against him.
"Um I guess I can tell you a little about me then." Izuku said this hesitantly still not sure if he was actually going through with it. Izuku chewed his bottom lip not sure what information he was willing to part with. Since Aizawa apparently already told people he like 'girly' stuff then it should be okay to say here too.
"Uh so I like some girl stuff, like skirts and dresses. I've also tried wearing heels before." Izuku started not sure where to go from there.
"I see. Is this something you've always liked? Or have you recently had an interest in these things?" Ryo asked patiently not even batting an eye.
"I-Um I have always l-liked it I think. I remember liking them b-be-efore mom di-died." Izuku replied.
"You know if you wanted to wear those types of clothes to better express yourself Aizawa and Yamada would support you." Ryo said gently.
"Y-yeah, so they've mentioned. I'm n-not particularly keen o-on risking that right now th-though." Izuku responded fiddling with his hands.
"Why do you think it would be a risk?" Ryo asked.
"I- that's not any of your fucking business! I'm done talking now." Izuku lashed out. Ryo nodded calmly.
"That's okay, our time is about up anyway. I will walk you to the teachers lounge." He said standing up and motioning for Izuku to follow. Izuku stood and walked behind the man, unhappy with the place his thoughts went. He knew he would not be sleeping very well tonight because of it.
