Christian Grey is not a patient man. When he wants answers or results, his men know, he wants them yesterday. When he ordered for the search for Alex, he expected to find her right away. And three years later, he was at his limit. She was a ghost, completely off grid. Her boyfriend had remained in New York, making his life hell. When he put the hit on them, he got what he wanted: Barnes and Rogers out of New York.

Grey had moved operation to New York about a year after Alex had originally left, needed to move to make sure the feds were never on his tale. When they moved, Christian took all of Alex's belongings with him. He never thought she would leave. And he sure as hell didn't think she would have a problem with how he ran his business. Yes, ok, he tricked her into become 'the Cat' but at the time, she needed someone. Her brother fucked her over by stealing from him and then skipping out on the consequences. That little shit skipped town and disappeared same as her.

He looked at her picture he had when they were happy. He took a sip of the bourbon and wished he could have her back. The phone rang and Christian could see it was Walker.

"Boss I think I found them."

"Are you certain?"

"We followed Barnes and Rogers out of New York, and they have found a place in San Francisco. But sir, I think we have something bigger."

"What could be bigger than ending those two fuckers who were ruining my life?"

"I think we found her as well."

"Alexandra?" Christian's heart stopped.

"Yeah, they have been seen with a woman who looks a lot like her."

"I want confirmation in 24 hours Walker." He hung up the phone. His pet, his sweetness. He smiled cruelly. God willing, it was her and he could work on getting her back, whether by force or not. He got up and went to the girl still lounging on his bed, a girl who looked like his. He kissed her, imagining her to be Alex. "Work me," he ordered. She went to work, sucking him off as he dreamed it was Alex. Soon, I'll have you back.

Sam Wilson has always been optimistic butpessimistic. Being a district attorneyin New York shaped the way he saw the law. Being banished (in his mind) from New York after mobster Christian Greyput a hit on him, he would do anything to bring that bastard down. So when Bucky Barnes calls and says that one of his former lieutenants has information but needs immunity, he jumped at the chance.

Sam was now in private practice, no longer working for the government but he still had connections with every DA in almost every city. He was now based out of Los Angeles but jumped on the first flight to San Francisco. He was intrigued by the idea of information to bring Grey down. As he landed, he saw a familiar face. "Yo! Rogers!"

"Hey Sam!" They hugged and Steve led him to his car. "How have you been? I know you left New York six months before us."

"Settle with the practice now, have a solid client base. Weird adjustment from New York. They are sue happy here."

"I bet. San Francisco is so much slower paced than New York. But with all the changes we've been dealing with, we haven't had any rest."

"How is Alex? I missed her. How did you guys even find her?"

"Pure coincidence man. They were meant to be together. That has to be the only explanation." Steve looked sideways. "She has a surprise."

"What? Is she blonde now?" Sam cackled from his joke.

"No but I can't wait to see your face," Steve smirked. He pulled up to the apartment building and helped Sam with his bag. They chatted as they entered and saw all the boxes.
