12 Years Later

You wake up early in the snowy morning helping your mother Kie in the household chores. "Good morning Mom" you said greeting your mom "good morning dear" she greats you back "is brother planning to sell charcoal today?" You ask noticing that Tanjiro is already not on his futon when you woke up

"yes I already told him that it's ok not to sell coal today because of the snow but he still insists, later I ask him again to not go down the mountain" your mother said.

Soon after the rest of your siblings wake up and you as the second eldest, you help them to prepare before all of you take breakfast.

It's been 12 years since you've been reborn in this world. The world that you only saw in the manga and anime that you used to read and watched. For those years you've become accustomed to the old settings of this world.

You as Nezuko grow and go with the flow of what happening in your surroundings because you don't know what happened to the childhood of the Kamado siblings so you just do what you need to do.

But as the day and years pass you're starting to feel scared of what is about to happen when the story finally begins. Your whole family will die and you becoming a demon.

Outside the house, you put Rokuta, your youngest brother in sleep on your back and tied him from your back that will hold him while laying his head on your shoulder. You know that whenever that Tanjiro is going down to sell coal he always wants to come with him but because today has a lot of snow Tanjiro will not be able to bring the cart.

You slowly walk towards the house to lay down Rokuta inside the house but you suddenly stop and froze at what you see.

Tanjirou takes up a basket of charcoal on his back and is preparing to leave the house and your mom calls out to him. "Tanjiro? Your face is covered in soot. Come over here." Your mom then comes out of the house and wipes Tanjiro's face with a towel.

'This scene it's the same as episode one of the story, so it's tonight huh? When my family will die' you thought tearing a little and from afar you watch the heartwarming scene replayed but this time in real life.

"It's dangerous with all this snow. You don't have to go, you know." Your mom said "Well, I want everyone to eat their fill on New Year's, so I'm gonna sell as much charcoal as I can." Tanjiro said. "Thank you." Your mom said then.

"Big Bro!" "Hmm?" Your other siblings come running to Tanjiro Takeo comes out from behind them."You're going to town again today?" Shigeru said "I'm going with you" Hanako said "Oh no, you're not. You know you can't walk fast like Tanjiro" your mom said telling your other two siblings that they cannot come.

"Mom!" Shigeru said "you may not. Since he can't use the cart today, he won't be able to give you a ride when you're tired." Your Mom adds "Big Bro!" Shigeru runs to Tanjiro and clings onto him.

"I wanna go with you! I promise I'll help you!" Hanako said hoping that your big brother will agree. "Thanks, Hanako. But you're staying home today." Tanjiro said patting Hanako's head. "What~?" Hanako said "You too, Shigeru. But I'll get you tons of goodies, okay?" "Really?" Shigeru said "yeah and Hanako, I'll read for you when I'm back. " Tanjiro said reassuring your two younger siblings.

"Thank you so much, Tanjiro" your mother said "sure, okay, I'll be heading out now. Takeo, will you chop as much wood as you can?" Tanjiro said "Sure, I'll do it, but... I was hoping we could do it together." Your other younger brother Takeo said looking the other way.

Tanjiro walks over to Takeo and pats his head. "There, there" "cut it out!" Takeo said 'oh this is the cute scene, a heartwarming scene that will be replaced by a horrifying scene' you think to yourself looking at your family laughs, and Tanjiro sets out for town with his three siblings and your mother watching him.

"Hurry back, okay?" Shigeru said "Be safe, okay?" Hanako said both saying goodbye to Tanjiro 'looks like that's my cue' you thought and you continue to walk towards your house. "Big Brother!" You call to him giving him a fake smile"Hey, Nezuko" he said

"I was putting Rokuta down for a nap, or he'd make a scene when you leave. He misses Dad a lot since he passed away. And everyone follows you wherever you go." You said saying the line you remembered reading and watching the manga and anime countless times. Tanjiro then pats Rokuta's head lightly.

You look at him with a worried look "Nezuko are you alright, is there something wrong, I kinda smell that you are scared" your brother's statement made you shocked and now he's the one looking at you with a worried look. You shake your head "it was nothing I'm just scared because the snow is thick today, you might encounter an accident" you said lying to him.

"Don't worry, I promise I'll come back safely" he said giving you a warm smile. You have a sudden urge and hug your big brother tightly. "Nezuko?" He said but he hugs you back. 'I'm sorry brother, I can't do anything about what's about to happen.' You said crying inside.

He then bid his farewell to you, you still looking in his direction until his figure is out of sight.

'Oh!...big brother why do good people need to suffer'

In the middle of the night. You laying down in the futon with your mother and sibling being you  the only one awake, your fast heartbeat that you can assume that you can hear. Being nervous and anxious that any hours, minutes, or seconds till that fateful event happen.

Today your big brother Tanjiro wasn't able to go back before the dawn but your whole family knows that he might be staying at Saburo's house.

And right now you are waiting when that Michael Jackson will bust through the door"big sis!" you were startled when Takeo call out to you while rubbing his eyes "why are you still awake?" He ask "it was nothing, I just couldn't sleep" you said

"I see, did you perhaps~" "Shhhh" putting your finger in your lips signaling your brother Takeo to be quiet. You two hear footsteps coming outside your home. The footsteps get louder and louder when...
