It was day 3 of school and to me life seemed to became long and boring and just filled with annoying work that almost 75% of the population would not need to learn.

It was gym, there was nothing I hated more than basketballs and volleyballs flying right into my face leaving bruises. The gym was honestly quite small compared to other high schools I actually had a bigger gym at middle school.

Strangely enough I had made a friend, her name was august and weirdly enough I met her during august. How strange was that?

I was sitting on the bleachers minding my own business when she came up to me she had noticed my sketchbook filled with you guessed it taylor swift drawings and if I looked back at it they weren't that impressive at all but she loved them. "I'm sorry, I'm august!" She chuckles. "Do you mind if I take photos of these? My friend is a major swiftie" she smiles and I nodded. "Yeah um sure" I said.

I had that weird voice when I only knew someone for someone so long before my voice would sound like some teenage boy going through some shit.

August went on about her friend and her obsession over the blonde singer she was energetic and somewhat extroverted that I thought in some sort of way. She was funny aswell, made jokes and at first I thought she was joking about having crystals in her backpack. How cute.

She was pretty, she had thick brows and dyed red hair but could tell at one point she was a brunette and everyone either thought she was depressed or some sort of homosexual in all means. Which I was not sure which one she was.

She had the type of natural beauty that I and many others envied or maybe that was just my lack in self love. Everyone around me I found beautiful, except me.

August ranted on about herself and i sat there and nodded and smiled. "Do you want to join me and my friend crystal for lunch?" I ask. "Sure!" She smiles.

I had found out that actually she was sitting across from us at another table watching me and crystal on the 1st day at school thinking about joining but was too scared to try and join in. I had wandered what she had thought of us at first glance. Me and crystal where quite loud and weird from just an outsider looking at us. But we were us and that's all that mattered.

August explained that once she saw us go to the vending machines to grab something to eat she wanted to join never wanting to go alone and face total awkwardness there would be if someone was waiting behind her or just watched her do her own thing.

August was a very hard to explained person, one minute she had showed a aggressive and assertive behavior to a much more happy and smiley behavior. I've started to noticed how she would react to certain problems and issues all which would be bad or good. But she had every right when she was angry or sad or happy, it was her life.

And if this was a movie, she would be the main character to which everything would revolve around her and her issues because she was that girl and sometimes I think she doubts that someone would envy the love she had. Because I would die to have just a pint of more love.

August lived in a nice house in a good neighborhood with her uncle and aunt mentioned a few times of her mother but that relationship wasn't really much anymore and she'd only mentioned her father atleast once since the day I met her.

The 1st day was an escape from reality for her, school was an escape from the past andd to start over in life.

Of course the first moment was a girl asking if she wanted to smoke a nic and well, she declined the offer but they became friends and the anxiety that was built around her was slowly slipping away. She had some of her anxiety walls fall down and when she did so came relief

We became friends and then she invited one of her friends named Beth which took me a while to get used to the girl. And soon enough august had slipped away and we formed a spot in the lunch room with us four and never had separated then.

There was nothing more intresting than the 1st month of high school it was all about getting to know eachother and create bonds between people and slowly we all did.
