When Tyler reaches my side, I look away from Aiden and focus on Legion's future alpha.

"I told you I would see you again..." He tells me with a smirk.

"Considering this is a first-year welcome bonfire, the odds were on your side." I quip back.

He just keeps smirking at me, not denying it.

"Hmm, Vi...are you going to introduce us?" Cami interrupts from beside me, while the rest of my friends just stare curiously.

"Camila Evans," I point to her and then to Tyler. "Tyler Dagon."

Cami's eyes go up in surprise- "From Legion?"

"The one and only"

"Oh..." She quickly looks at me with confusion-filled eyes. "And just how do you two know each other?"

My roommate knows perfectly well that as recently as last night, when we were stuffing our faces with ice cream, Tyler and I were complete strangers.

"We met this morning in wolf form, I was running, and he joined me. I only found out who he is when we shifted back."

I make sure to make it clear that I had no idea who had been running with me. Not because I know Aiden is listening...

"And then she ran away from me as fast as she could," Tyler adds, in a teasing manner.

"I did not run away"

"Sure, you just walked really fast." He mocks.

"This conversation is over." A voice booms from behind Tyler in a lethal tone.

The mating pull burns in my chest. My wolf is on instant alert.

"What the fuck do you want, Heyes??" Tyler turns around, facing what looks like an extremely furious Aiden. I hadn't even heard him approach, he must have moved so fast.

"I want you to walk away. Now." I think I see Aiden's wolf in his eyes for a second, but it's gone before I can be sure.

"And what if I don't?"

Aiden takes a step closer to Tyler, making it easier to notice the difference in their size. The first one is considerably bigger. "I'll make you."

My breath hitches at the threat.

People are starting to make a circle around us, the tension escalating and making them want a better view. Many wolves here either belong or have an alliance to one of the two packs, which means that they need to know if their help will be necessary. It's more dramatic when it's two future alphas who are fighting, even worse when they belong to the two packs in question.

"What? Now I can't even talk to a girl without you being up in my face?" Tyler aks aggressively, not backing down.

"She's off-limits."

I'm what now???

"What the fuck. She's not your girl, Hayes."

That's when I notice Erin standing a few feet away with her eyebrows scrunched in confusion. I'm sure she has a million questions for her boyfriend right now. This situation is horrible for me...but it's really unfair to her as well. As much as my wolf drives me to hate her, my more rational side stops me. Because it's not her fault.

"She's from Blue Moon," Aiden states simply as if that completely justifies his behavior.

She is right here...

Only I know the real reason why he's so worked up. I know because I feel exactly the same every time I have to watch them together. His anger right now is the same anger I feel every time he is with her in front of me...it's what I felt earlier this night when the mating pull warned me of their presence.
