Everyone knows what Spider-man did that day, how he saved them. He would get thanked by the people he saved during the patrol, he would get thanked by the criminals, even the Avengers thanked him, but Peter was lonely. After the battle, Shuri and Peter couldn't see each other as much anymore, because Shuri went back to Wakanda, and they could only speak online, and when Shuri rarely visited New York.
The whole world thought Peter Parker was dead. he hadn't been seen in over a year. There were many rumors on what happened to the kid. Some said he was killed during the Earthquakes, some said he killed himself, and other said he went into hiding. It was a huge case on buzz-feed unsolved. Peter loved watching the episodes when he was the main topic, and comparing how close they are to the actual truth. Peter closed his laptop and went on patrol.
This patrol wasn't much different than every other. So far, he had stopped a bombing, four muggers, an attempted murder, and walked a lady across the street. This time he got two churros. He sits on a nearby roof top waiting for his daily Avenger meeting. They'd come down from the tower, thank him, then ask if he would like to join them. It happened every day for the past seven months.
"Hey Spider-Man," Clint Barton, the most childish Avenger, says.
"Hey Mr. Barton." Spider-man says.
"It's just me today, can I sit?" Clint asks. Hawk-eye asks telling the truth about being alone.
"Sure," Peter says.
"Why don't you wanna join us?" He asks.
"I don't know if I could actually trust you guys, I mean you guys did almost kill me," Spider-Man admits.
"WE WHAT?!" Clint yells causing Peter to flinch.
"When I was fighting you guys, you hit an open stab wound, even after I said I didn't wanna fight, and I almost died," Clint's eyes widen to the size of saucers.
"Oh my God, I'm so sorry, I didn't know," Clint says feeling guilty.
"It's okay, you weren't even there that day, and it was Mr. Rogers who did it," Peter says sadly.
"What can I do to make it up to you?" Clint asks. Peter takes a minute to think.
"You could get the Avengers to meet me here tomorrow?" Peter suggests with a plan in his head.
"Sounds like a plan," Clint says. Spider-man and Hawk-eye sit on the roof talking for a couple more hours before Hawk-Eye has to leave.
"Catch ya later Spidey," Clint says before heading back to the Tower.
"No, you won't," Peter jokes causing both of them to laugh before heading in separate ways. Clint stormed back to the tower with anger clear on his face.
When Clint got back to the Tower, he immediately called a meeting. How could the Earth's Greatest Heroes nearly kill a good guy, that saved them?
"Avengers a C-I-P level 3 is active please report to the meeting room immediately." Friday blared through the Tower. Everyone rushed to get to the meeting room. C-I-P means Clint Is Pissed, which has only ever happened 3 other times and let's just say that the Avengers are more scared of Clint being mad than they are of Bruce being mad.
The last time Clint was pissed he slammed Steve through a wall and then proceed to beat the living shit out of him until he apologized to Natasha.
"Does anyone know why this was called?" Steve asked frantically.
"He just got back from talking with Spider-Man that might have something to do with it," Tony suggested. Just then the door bursts open.
"What The Hell Is Wrong With Y'all!" He yells as the team sinks back into their chairs.
"What?" Sam asks stupidly.
"What? you ask, WHAT? I'll Tell You What!" Clint starts yelling.
"Why The Mother Chugging Fudge did you guys almost kill Spider-man!" He yelled. Shock filled their eyes.
"When do we do that?" Tony asks.
"Ugh, Friday show them, I need to go let off some steam," Clint says slamming the door on his way out. The team watches as they almost kill the guy that saved the universe. After the video is over Friday pipes up,
"Mr. Barton would like me to inform you that you all have a meeting with Spider-Man tomorrow and that if you miss, he'll send Laura on you."
Everyone shivered at the thought of Clint's sister, who was scarier than her brother. (Clint isn't straight or married, so yeah, but good news Laura will be dating an avenger, try to guess who, if you guess right, you get a cookie;))
"Alright Friday set an alarm for our meeting with Spider-Man for tomorrow," Tony says. Shuri was listening to the call from T'challa's phone who was on video chat with Sam when the meeting started. She smiled when she heard the news. She quickly called Peter and they discussed the plan. He planned on talking with the Avengers telling them to gain his trust and he'd slowly hint at his identity. Peter explained what Shuri needed to do the next time they met. After a while, they started playing Minecraft and they even built a Stark Tower in the game before signing off at 3 am Peters time.
