A text flashed on my screen with the username Bright. How did he even get my Line ID? Brilliant, JUST brilliant. I just ignored the text message for a good couple of minutes. I diverted my thoughts towards the view outside, trying to think about anything but this. I feel myself uncontrollably shaking my feet. Oh, fuck it I muttered and unlocked my phone. I had to do it. He is my boss after all. 

'Thanks, Boss!, looking forward to it :)' I replied and sighed. Why is it just so hard to even text this guy? keep it together win, it's not hard to pretend the fact that you are fine being around this guy. Bright's well very intimidating I'll not lie. Ever since college, he had this effect on everyone he met, not even gonna lie, he had an effect on me that I absolutely didn't like. "Ohm! can you hear me" I called out, but when I got no answer I remembered and dialled on the phone. "Hey Ohm, can you come in for a moment?" "Sure sir". 

I had to be ready for what was about to happen and what should I keep in mind while I am present at the orientation. I heard a knock and knew it was Ohm "come in" I replied as I spun back to face him. "yes sir?" he asked "Ohm tell me, how is our CEO, what are the things that I should keep in my mind while being around him?".

"Oh, Mr Vachirawit? okay so, He is a minimalistic person and likes things that way. He hates if anyone doesn't do the things that they're assigned, properly. Even tho he is an understanding person, it's his pet peeve that he HATES, and I am not exaggerating when I tell you this, that he doesn't like unprofessionalism inside the office. Outside? you can act like a monkey for all he cares but inside- Customers are the first that come. Ummm what else...OH! he can't tolerate spicy food at all and hates it when his things are not at the exact place where it is. 

It's weird I know, but he has this ick that goes off when someone puts away something far from its original place. He literally yells so bad and that is the day the whole office faces his wrath! and lastly that you need to remember- He gets all awkward and strange when someone gets all flirty around him. He is allergic to romance. Well, that's that, anything else-?" 

It took me a moment to make notes of what to do and what not to do. That person- Woah. I literally made notes on my iPad just in case I forget. "Thank you, Ohm, and yes, that's it. Just come with me for the orientation later, okay?" "Yes! sure. Byeeee" he said by stretching that bye at the end. As he left the room, I stood up and looked at the iPad. All the points that I need to remember are to not trigger him or his anger. 

I closed my eyes and rested them and myself for a few moments and getting myself mentally ready for what the future beholds. Sure the office is nice and it's far from that snob's office but I know that I can't escape the inevitable, I will have to maintain a professional and work-friendly relationship with Bright, no matter how much I hate him or he hates me. 

There was a soft knock on the door "Sir, it's time" I looked at the watch, god it's time already. I stood up, glanced at my reflection on the monitor, straightened my suit and tie and let out a small puff of air. Let's do this I muttered to myself and walked out with my phone, iPad and my wallet. "Let's go Ohm" I looked at him and he lead the way towards the conference hall. We again passed those huge and amazing walls, down the elevator to a floor which honestly I didn't remember and through a similar hallway into a huge room. 

I was introduced to every employee working there, a few managers trying to make a speech to suck up to me in order for them to get into my nice books, but what they don't know about Win Metawin here is that he decides a person's morals by the way they behave all around. I was happy regardless, content. Mr Bright wasn't to be seen anywhere since the orientation started. 

As everyone calmed down, I made my way towards the small bar area that was set up and I asked for a martini, I was minding my own business when two ladies came up to the vacant seat beside me and started talking about our CEO, evidently not noticing me so I just kept quiet. "ugh this party is a total blow up, I mean the new managing director is in fact hot but, he is nothing compared to Bright" I rolled my eyes as I sipped my drink "god! you're so right, Ugh I just wish he was here, I think Pam, you'll be able to get him this time, I am sure and that dress is doing no justice to that waist!" they both just started giggling and I just sighed and inevitably left the bar with the drink.

I was just roaming around, familiarizing myself with the people of the company when I heard the loud clamour around me go silent and all I could hear was the faint music in the background. I knew what was about to happen, I know who came- Bright.

"Ah! Mr Metawin! pardon me for being late, I had some previous engagements to deal with. Now, everyone, I hope you would've introduced yourself and helped our new director get familiar with our office" I could see everyone's eyes gleaming, what is it that they see in this guy? he is obviously just faking it, yuck.

"of course they did. I am lucky enough to have an amazing team with me" I smiled as I looked at everyone in front of me. "-and of course, you're forgetting someone too right Metawin?" I looked at him confusingly and he swung his arm around my shoulders and tightened his grip, and then I understood "Ah! yes, Ofc and the best CEO too" I plastered a fake smile on my face when in reality I wanted to throw the martini on his head "I am sure you're glad to have a director like me too, my dear CEO" I flaunted back. Two can play this game Vachirawit. "of course of course". HA.

He joined the party and I always stood the opposite to where ever he went, just like two magnets- NORTH AND NORTH! I was standing with this random intern, talking about how he was dealing with this project that I had no interest in when my gaze landed on Bright sitting at the bar, swirling his wine, I was about to look away when I saw those two ladies that I heard earlier, approaching him. I looked over them, intrigued about what's gonna happen, I witnessed the fact that Bright literally went away when the lady started whispering something to Bright and then I remembered- He hates sappy romantic shit! 

I saw him approaching me, I was about to run away when he held my shoulder "where do you think you're going, Win?" He had a teasing tone and I did not like it " none of your business Bright" I said as I released myself from his grip 

"Oh but, This is my business, so technically you are too"

 His growling voice was enough to send shivers down my spine but I had to stand my guard.

 "don't you think we are a bit too grown for this Bright"

 I now looked at him, straight in the eye. "Forever young Metawin, forever young".

 He grinned as he took my third martini and gulped that down in one sip "so-" he cleared his throat and I just had to get away and I remembered what happened earlier and Ohm's words. fuck it, I have lost my mind.

I smirked "so Bright-" I inched dangerously closer to him, 

"Let's keep the past aside shall we for one moment as I would like to say something that I had on my mind all evening" 

I could hear him gulp "W-What-" he cleared his throat as his voice cracked but he again said in a stern voice "What" I smirked and inch a little closer. "You look hot, you know" I breathed out, a little raspily and as a cherry on top, I fidgeted with his tie and I immediately but slowly took a step back to look at his reaction and he looked mortified and he literally just coughed awkwardly, he didn't even look at me and went away, LITERALLY out of the room. 

And needless to say, I think I might have an idea on how to keep him away.

Hey! omggg. Thanks for waiting this long for the update. This book is my baby and I have been thinking about it for a long time! I am sorry I know I took ages to update but I was having a hard time IRL so it was difficult for me to get into a headspace to continue writing.

Also, do you guys have any thoughts on why Bright keeps subtly bullying Win even if they're colleagues now?
