I didn't think for one moment this how my night would end, how I'd be fighting to keep my hands gripping onto to a railing 8 floor above the ground below. "Help!" I begged the woman as she slowly came closer.  "I don't think so..." She shakes her head. "Why?" I asked her. "Your father killed the only man I've ever loved" she seethed as my hand begins to slide, the dew from the cold air not helping my situation. "So, I'm going to be the hand that kills the only thing he's ever loved." Suddenly a pain erupted through my hand as the the point on her gold glove dug into my smooth skin. "Ahh!" I scream, wincing as blood ran down my arms. My heart pounded in my chest as her eyes were emotionless. "But, I'll make it it will be by my hand" she hissed out. I shake my head  when suddenly the woman jerked forward and I hear the sound of something squishing. Blood seeped from her dress and dripped from her mouth. When her body hit the floor I see Michael standing with her heart in his hand. "Not today, Countess" Michael spoke before tossing her heart onto the ground and reaching his hand out to me. "Come on, I'll pull you up" he offered. I didn't think twice about taking his hand but it was wet, covered in the woman's blood. He was able to pulled me up and back over the railing. My body fall onto his and I let out a breath in relief. "Thank you..." "Anytime" Michael responded. "I have to give you props, didn't see that coming" I looked over my shoulder to see the woman once again standing in the doorway as if she was unharmed. Michael turned and stood in front of me protectively shielding me from her. She tilt her head to the side before taking a step closer to Michael and me. "You harmed Athena....you must pay the price" Michael hissed out. "Haha...Your a child" she pointed out. He stared hard at the woman and she began to winced before flames suddenly started at her feet and shook caught her entire body in fire. "Ahhh!" She screamed before finally going up in smoke. "Wh-what did you do?" I stuttered out. "She won't ever bother anyone in this hotel again" he informed me. "Did...you send her to hell?" I asked. He shook his head "Worse, she no longer exists. I burned her soul. There's nothing left of her" he explained. "And...you did that?" I arched a brow. He chuckled "Doubting me?" He asked. I shake my head "No... never" I smile, catching myself once again feeling happy by his presences. "No...that couldn't be?" Michael gasped. "Is that a smile?" He teased. "Oh shut it..." I roll my eyes. "Shall we return to dinner?" He offered his arm out to me. I knit my brows together "I don't know...I think its just too awkward" I tell Michael. "What's so awkward about dinner?" He asked me. "At least just try it? The moment you want to leave we will" he offered. "Okay..." I huffed out, agreeing to his plan.
We walked back into James March room to see him pacing the room. "I see I have some explaining to do" He stated as he turned to me. "I would say so..." I nodded. "I'll just leave you to it, return her to my room when you're finished" Michael softly touched my arm but speaking to my father who only nodding in agreement. Michael left the room and James March and I just stood there in silence for a long moment. "So...a drink?" He offered. "Wait, you're not even legal age" he shakes his head.  "So, where do I start?" He asked me. "From the beginning?" I suggested. He nodded "I guess that would be best." "Well when I met your mother I'd never knew where she came from or was" he began. "But she was the most beautiful woman I had ever laid my eyes on" he smiled. "You look a lot like her" he added. "So what happened?" I asked as we both began to travel towards the parlor. "Well, your mother called herself Josie but later I found out that was only a false name" he tells me. "Jophiel was her real name" he added. "Jophiel?" I knit my brows together, wondering if I had heard that name before. "The Angel of beauty..." He smiled. "Wait....as in like angel?" I asked him. "Like feathered wings and halo angels?" I asked him. "Sadly..." He says. Am part angel? What was the other part then? "When your mother found out she had gotten pregnant she knew her God would never allow it" he shakes his head. "She wanted to murder you, I begged her not to. I swayed her that you could be normal" his eyes wandered to his glass. "It was October 31st... Halloween when your mother went into labor and within just a few hours I was holding you in my arms" he explained. "You looked so much like me, I was terrified that..." He paused. "I'd turn out to a serial killer?" I asked him. "That too but also of what roamed these halls. In that moment I became a father and did the only thing I knew how to do as a father" he stated. "I gave you up, to give you a future outside of these walls" he tells me. "Your mother said her god spoke and she made you, she would be the one to destroy you and I couldn't allow her to. When her god learn she failed he was furious and she disappeared" he informed me. "Like he took her?" I asked him. "So, if my mother was an angel and you are a ghost. What does that make me?" I asked him. "You are Angel, Demon and witch" he informed me. "You are your mother's child and your father's miracle" he smiled.
