So yeah this is cheesy and then a little more cheesy. I got the idea from rewatching the promo for 14x17 where Meredith and Nick first meet. The promo has the title cards of "The Right Person, Awakens a heart", and I told a friend that sounds like something for a fairytale and I joked of how Nick could use it to tell Ellis about meeting as a fairytale. My friend loved the idea right away, and though I have a few other fanfiction ideas in my head, this was the one she thought I should start with. So here we go.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A long, long time ago there was a young and beautiful queen. The queen was famous all through the country, as she was known for her magical healing powers, but though she was young, beautiful, smart and famous, she was also incredible lonely. The thing was the queen had been married to a brave and loyal king with the heart of a lion, and she had loved him with all her heart, but the king had died and though the queen had magical healing powers she hadn't been able to save her king from death. They had three beautiful children, together, two princesses and a prince, and after the kings death, they were the only thing that kept the queen going, and though she loved them with everything in her, her heart was lonely and broken. The pain of losing the king had made her close off as she never wanted to feel such a loss again.

Through the years after the kings death, family and friends of the queen begun to think it was time for her to remarry and take a new king, it became a rumor that spread through the country, and many men tried to ask for her hand in marriage, but the queen was sad and lonely and though the knights and princes who asked for her hand were friendly and charming, and could make her smile for a little while and sometimes even feel like there might be a chance to find love again after the king, it never felt truly right, not enough for the queen to accept any of their offers or actually open her heart to them fully and let them love her, and love them in return.

The queen instead focused on her healing powers for which she became more and more famous, many people from far and wide came to her for help, so she could cure their illnesses. Each day she cured more and more, and each night she held and kissed the young princesses and prince good night and told them they meant everything to her.

One day a brave knight from a far away country was visiting the court. The knight had recently been in battle and had gotten wounded, but he had been healed by his own healers or at least so he thought. The knight had wasted no time after being healed in setting back out again on his travels. And it was one of those travels that that had led him to the Queen's court.

The Knight had hoped to meet the Queen while there in her court, just like every one else who came to her castle's court, however he hadn't seen signs of her while there. And as his business was done he and his company begun to get ready to leave.

The problem was that wound he had gained not long before was flaring up again, though it should have been all gone, and the knight was feeling a little faint, as the rest of his group was saddling up for the ride back to his country. Therefore the Knight told his company to ride ahead and that he would catch up with them, never mentioning to them that his wound was giving him trouble again as he knew that would worry them.

Instead he stood back and watched his company leave before trying to gather himself against the wall of the courtyard.

The Knight was so focused on trying to push down the pain he was feeling, that he hadn't even noticed a young Lady getting closer to him until she stood behind him asking if he was alright. As he turned to face her and he met with the most incredible green eyes, he had ever seen, and though they were filled with concern, he was enchanted by them.
