I stood there, in front of the huge building, crowded with other students inside and outside. The two huge, imperial staircases met up at a fountain in front of the huge doors of the school.

Students, taller than me, chatted everywhere, making my ears ring. Wincing, I slowly went up the stairs, trying not to get pushed by the running people, hoping to find Tommy.

Tommy has been my best friend since elementary school. We always were in the same school... till we finished middle school and moved onto high school. Tommy moved to Elquarence Hills(No places in this story are real) and begged me to move with him so we could be in the same high school. Indecisively, I agreed. It's better to have a friend you trust your life with than no one in a new school.

I waited for the school doors to open, leaning against the walls, scouring through the people to find Tommy. Annoyed, I walked up to an open area next to the fountain. The cool air from the water hit me, making my hair flow in the air. I took a deep breath and exhaled. I hope today will be an okay first day.

"Hey Prick!" A voice called behind me. I jumped and turned to face the person. My eyes met the sea blue eyes, half covered by his blonde hair. He was wearing a blue blazer with the Spenxix Hype High logo on it, black trousers and shoes. Shit! I forgot the uniform! I'll stand out very much.

"H-Hey Tommy!" I replied with a smile. He smiled back, "See you forgot your uniform," He looked at my toes and his eyes lifted up to my head. I nod. That's when the school doors started opening.

"Fuck!" Tommy groaned, looking at the doors. It formed an entrance to a brown room with the reception. "We'll talk later, let's get your schedule," He said, rushing inside. I looked at all the students running inside as Tommy disappeared within them. Hesitantly, I jogged to Tommy.

The front desk lady smiled at me and handed me a piece of paper with my classes written on it. "Is it okay if I don't wear the uniform?" I asked, really hoping she would say yes. I didn't want to get in trouble on the first day of school. "It's fine, as long as you can start wearing it the second week," She replied. Relieved, I smiled and skedaddled to Tommy.

I found him in a blue hallway crowded with people, doors and lockers. I showed him my schedule. "Fuck, we have like only two classes together," Tommy said, examining my paper. I sighed. "At least we're in the same school," He smiled, leading me to a yellow room on the second floor. "This is your homeroom," Tommy pointed. It was partially filled with students.

I nodded and walked in. I looked back to see Tommy smiling before he left to go to his homeroom. I sighed and sat in the back seat next to the window. The people in the classroom talked to their friends, barely noticing me enter. I looked outside the window to see a blue bird on a branch next to the school. It almost looked like a blue macaw. I smiled, before wandering off to my own dimension in my head.
