The sun was setting. Most students had left, some were outside or inside in extra clubs. Tommy had left. I rushed to the volleyball court in the back of the school to see a lot of people on the bleachers. The game members were on the court.
I walked to the dirty blonde haired boy to see Ranboo. I didn't know Ranboo played volleyball. He was wearing a black and white jersey with the crown logo and black shorts.
"Hey! I didn't know you played Volleyball," I say. He chuckled, "You don't know a lot of me, baby," "Pardon, what did you say at the end of the sentence?" I ask. "I said you don't know anything about me yet, now go sit on the bleachers," He replied, leaving to go meet the other team members. Huh, I could've sworn he had said 'baby'.
I sat at an empty spot at the bleachers and groaned. He's gonna make me wait longer. If Mom and Dad were here, I would've been scolded. I got on my phone, checking Twitter. Not much though. I had honestly thought that I'd spend my time, during the game, on my phone but the players caught my attention, especially Ranboo.
Surprisingly, Ranboo did not let any of the balls fall that he could reach. He was pretty fast as well. His height gave him a better chance at hitting the balls. I was so focused on his team that I didn't hear my phone ring.
The game continued until it was a tie of 4 points for each team. I saw the opponent team share glances as the final round began. The opponent team passed the ball but as soon as a team member from Ranboo's team was about to hit it, a bird swung by, making the ball hit the boy's face.
The people on the bleachers gasped as the game immediately stopped. The coach raced over to the boy, who had a bleeding nose and mouth and a black eye, picked him up and took him inside. I suppose he took the boy to the school nurse. The players on the court stood there and looked at each other.
"As being the captain of Spenxix Hype High volleyball team," Ranboo declared, "We shall continue the game," He went over to get the ball. The other team looked annoyed, like their plan didn't work. Ranboo served the ball. The game went on for a couple of minutes when I saw the opponent team glance at each other before passing the ball.
The ball flew higher than everyone. In despair, Ranboo's team frowned. My heart also dropped but to everyone's surprise, the black and white, tall boy jumped. In the air, he seemed to grow a few more inches. And with a WHAM, the ball sprinted at the other team like a rocket ship and hit the ground hard.
The court filled with cheers. For some reason, I cheered too. The players on the court panted and the opponent team members went inside the gym. Ranboo's team members high-fived him before following the others.
I sprinted to Ranboo and impulsively, I hugged him tightly. He chuckled and hugged back, making me realise what I did. I pulled out and looked down with a smile, "You... did great," "Thanks, I know I did," He replied sassily. I rolled my eyes, crossing my arms.
We walked to the front of the school. The sun had set and the sky was now black and navy blue with the moon and sparkling stars scattered across the sky. Ranboo turned to me. I could see he was sweating. "You are loyal, alright. Very good," He said, before turning to leave.
"Hey!" I stopped him, annoyed. His back was turned to me. "That's all you wanted to say?!" "Yep!" He replied. I groaned as he started walking again. I turned to leave when I heard him say, "I also wanted you to see me win the game," I turned to look back at him. He was gone...
