Wooyoung's consciousness was slowly waking up from its slumber, next would be his mind, to which it then made the rest of his body slowly be aware of things going on. His eyes have yet to open but he could already sense something on his body.

A little weight hovered on his chest, he could feel the slight dip of the bed he was on near his head and legs, and the light touches on his neck had him squirm from its softness. The touches stopped for a few second before returning with a bit more roughness to them. Everything was gradually making sense that Wooyoung now had the strength to open his eyes.

First thing he sees was a head of hair, a familiar head of hair that is. He then began to feel such familiar lips on his on his neck. And familiar hands that passed through his shirt as they started rubbing his waist with the outmost care.

"San."

The male whispered above the sound of the prince's kisses. Wooyoung's eyes were still half-lidded from their tiredness, but it didn't cause him any trouble when he met the royal's eyes. Despite him squinting and the dimly lit room, the male still saw the emotions swirl in San's eyes. There was a handful of them but he mostly picked up on the sadness and want.

Delicately, the apprentice made his hand reach for the prince's face. Running his right thumb on the other's high cheek bones. San let his head fall with a sigh, soon going for Wooyoung's lips in a more gentle and soft matter. Wooyoung kissed back with half of his energy that he was trying to build back up.

"What are you doing?" The apprentice uses his hand to push the prince back lazily.

"Woo... I want you."

San breathes out as he connects their foreheads together, soaking up the heat from their bodies. Wooyoung was now more or less wide awake than before, looking curiously at the male on top of him.

"Now? I slept for half a day and you're already asking for us to make love?"

Both of them giggle and smile at the shorter's statement. However, San's frown return back on his face. Making Wooyoung run his hand through the other's hair to help him stay grounded.

"Me and Jongho are going to be busy in preparations for a battle with the dark magician. And I fear that the outcome won't be a direct win."

The apprentice bit his lower lip, fighting his thoughts and tears if ever San really didn't come back to him. He wouldn't know what to do with himself when that nightmare would turn into a reality. Would that be considered as the new ending for 'The Wounds of The Heart'? The old 'Wooyoung', the original villian of this fictional world, the person San hated the most in the novel, and the person who was destined to have nothing but a tragic end was now experiencing the most pain as of now. The Wooyoung now couldn't believe it, and he didn't want to believe it. He has his family and friends, his crest, and most importantly he has San. He was so close to the ending, yet he was about to lose all of it in two days.

Staring back at the royal in front of him who waited for some sort of response, the apprentice only pulled him for a deep kiss. San was flustered for a second but returned the kiss tenfold. Neither of them held back, pouring every emotion that didn't need to be spoken into the kiss. They pulled back refill their lungs for some air, Wooyoung taking it as a chance to speak.

"Sannie, what ever happens in the next two days. I'll always be here for you waiting and... I love you."

The prince connected their lips again for another heated kiss. Their tongues were soon added to the mix as Wooyoung tried fighting for dominance, but still let the royal win since he was the one who was going to be busy and thought that he needed to let out as much steam as he could. San got rid of the blanket between them as he began unbuttoning the shorter's shirt before moving his lips down to mark the apprentice once again. He made sure that the apprentice's skin was decorated with his marks.
