[Aires' POV]
"Ugh, where am I?" Holding your head, you open your eyes to see that you're in the middle of nowhere. You can see the floor luminate below you. You're under what seems to be a spotlight coming from above. The light could stretch so far but the darkness seems endless, no sight of a wall or anything. Just pure darkness.
You look around your surroundings, calling for someone, anyone. No answer. But then you hear a ringing from a distance, No, above you. You squint your eyes to see glowing colored balls spiral down slowly above you. There seems to be seven of them, yellow, red, green, blue, cyan, magenta, gray, seven of them spiraling in faster as they get closer. The ringing is starting to get louder and louder as they come close. You clasp your hands into your ears to block it but it's no use, you can still hear the ringing. It gets in your head, giving you a headache so strong you want to rip your ears off. You try to scream but even that you can't hear, only the ringing. The seven colored balls circle around you faster and faster, like they're making some sort of hurricane, they now glow in blinding white. The ringing louder and louder. The pain in your head is so strong tears began flowing from your closed eyes. But then you hear a faint voice, calling. You wanted to look up and see but the ringing was too painful. The voice starts to come closer, and louder, it's calling your name.
"wake up....wake up....." It's becoming more clear now. But the ringing won't stop.
"wake up... Aires wake up... AIRES!"
Your eyes open with only a bright pink blankness.
You immediately jump straight up. Breathing heavily as you realize you're back to reality. Your mom is beside you in your bed with a worried look. The sunlight beams through your window.
It was only a dream.
"Aires are you okay?" Your mom asked as she rubs her fingers in your eyes, you noticed that you were crying the whole time. "I heard you moaning outside, did you have a nightmare sweetie?" She said with a tone sweet as honey but still filled with worry. You nod and immediately give her a hug. She hugs back. Breathing heavily, your chest still feels heavy like someone was sleeping over you. "The ringing mom, it was scary".
"Ringing?" You felt the confusion in her voice. You let go of her grip and hesitantly explained your dream. You try to explain it properly but you jitter with every word that comes out, you're explaining like a 5 year old would. It made little sense.
Your mom calms you down as she gently flaps her hands, she smiles awkwardly. "Don't worry sweetie, it was just a dream, it won't hurt you anymore." she said, grabbing your hands. You know that's a lie. You've been having these dreams recently and it's only now that it's clear. Before it was only darkness and the ringing from the distance, now it was up close, like being in the front seat of a theater, and you were watching a horror movie. An ear piercing horror movie.
Your mom reassures you to come outside and eat some breakfast. Without any thought you hopped off your bed and rushed to the table. Your dad is already there, reading some papers while sipping coffee. As you sit down your mom placed down a stack of pancakes in front of you, hunger takes over as your stomach grumbles and your mouth drools from the stack in front of you. "Why don't you eat your pancakes sweetie, it'll make you feel better." her eyes smile at you. You nod and pour syrup over your stacks of pancakes and immediately scoop a fork full of pancakes into your mouth. Your worries have gone away as the sweetness of the pancake fills your mouth with joy and comfort. She giggles watching you eat so happily and starts to eat her plate of pancakes as well.
No thoughts. Just sweet, yummy pancakes to your mouth.
You are now ready for today. Wearing your casual blue outfit, your long sleeves draping on the side, the purple belt your father has given to you from one of your birthdays. You look at yourself in the mirror, feeling confident and excited as always.
You went outside your room. Your mother is preparing something in the kitchen and you know that's not lunch. "Aires come home before sunset alright, our neighbors are inviting us to a barn party, ain't that exciting!" she said turning around with a bright smile. "Though I have to make a bit of contribution for their potluck" Her bright face turned nervous, scratching her cheeks lightly. It's cute to see your mother act so mature but at the same time she doesn't feel ready for it yet.
You came close to the counter and asked if she needed any help. She says she's fine then her attention clicks. She remembers she's missing one ingredient for whatever she's preparing. So you diligently accepted the mission and went out of your way.
You walk down the downward slope of the mountain that you live in. The sky is bright blue, the sun shining intensely as always. You thought if your mother would've used her warp ring you would be there immediately, but then you realize you might not know where you'll go to get back home. But then again you got your pin that acts as a tracker, you can immediately call your mom in it, but it's already too late. You're already walking there anyway.
