Comets of Chaos part 7

[Breeze' POV]

You dash through the forest trying to match their speed. You're hoping some mountain would come up by now so you can catch her but it's mostly just level grounded forest. You look up to see Aires floating ahead. The two follow behind her. You had enough staying in the ground.

"Hey! Platine!" You raise your hand. "Lift me up there too will ya?!

Platine passed the message to Maria and she starts flying down. Low enough for the trees to reach Platine. You ball jump on a tree and it springs you up. Platine grabs your hand. Maria rises back up.

"Thanks. Are you okay with this Maria?" You shout.

"Sure. Both of you aren't too heavy." Now that she has to handle both of you and Platine's weight her speed slowed down a bit. You wonder how your uncle Tails did it back in Heroes. He was only 8!

But there's no time to think about it now. We need to stop Aires.

"How are we gonna stop her?" Platine asks.

"Have you tried calling her?"

"She's not responding." Maria answers.

"Maybe we could weigh her down." You thought.

"Huh?" Platine heard.

"Toss me to her! Maybe I can talk some sense to that little squirt!"

"Alright." She fills you with her cyan psychic force. You let go of her grasps and go to your ball form. She holds you back and throws you towards Aires. You fly in the air and catch her. That made her bob in the air. You cling to her like a sloth. Hugging her like she's carrying you on her back. She looks at you.

"Aires can you hear me in there? Everyone is worried about you so why don't we float back down to the safe ground and maybe eat some cakes later?"

No response. She stares upfront again.

That frustrates you a bit. "Hey I know you heard me, say something!" She doesn't waver. Alright then. If talking sense doesn't work well, how about this. You tighten your left hand's grip and place the other on her head. You scrub it like she's a dog. Her hair burns your hand but you continue to scrub it. She tries to shake it off, giving her trouble flying steadily. You try to grab on and keep scrubbing her head.

"You remember this... right? You always let me scrub your head."

She flies up and down, trying to shake you off her.

"I know what you're trying to do, it ain't gonna work!" You wrap your arms more tightly to her. Each of your hands reaching your arms. "We're in the same team, remember? Aires and Breeze! You help me fight that illusion Metal...Now... I'm helping you get out of this!"

She continues to fly around recklessly. You lean your head over her and bump it to hers. Making both of you head down to the trees, but not enough to crash on the ground. Branches and leaves slap you both. She flies back up.

You blow out leaves from your mouth. "You can't shake me off that easily, Aires."

"I know you're in there somewhere Aires. I know you can hear me." You reassure her. "You can get out of their control, you've faced more dangerous stuff than this." You try to kick one of the Comets but it moves away from your reach. "There's still so many people who care about you, need you, your parents, Mary and Platine, your other friends, and me."

"So come on Aires! You can do this! Break out of their control!"

Her head slightly turns. She heard that! But she dashes straight back down to the trees. Flying pass faster than before. The leaves and branches slap you rapidly. You lower your head to avoid them from hitting your face. But it hits you much stronger now, actually making you struggle to hold on. But you keep her close and tight. You're not getting rid of me that easily!
