Kevin pulled out the finest mead he had (black-briar mead), and got slightly drunk and fell asleep. After he had a nice nine hour sleep (because mead and death helps Kevin sleep) he felt refreshed and ready to plan out how to kill this new enemy because Kevin is not known to be diplomatic.

Kevin may be violent but not stupid so he heeded the knights' warning. Kevin not wanting to do any hard work tried to put on the armour, even though he was powerful he wasn't powerful enough to overcome the magic of the armour put there by the nine Divines. Within an instance Kevin was thrown across the room with a flash of lightning and a sound of thunder. Which in turn jogged his memory reminding him that if someone wanted to wear the armour of the crusader or use the weapons they had to visit the nine shrines of the Divines and only then would they be cleansed of their crimes.

Even afterwards if they harmed or killed an innocent they would have to re walk the pilgrimage and for Kevin not killing innocent and random people is quite the challenge, though he decided to err on the safe side, so Kevin decided to walk the pilgrimage and gain the extraordinary powerful armour of the Divines to face his new enemy.

Kevin already knew the locations of all the wayshrines he had to go to, because they were shown on a map on the note that Kevin had found. He decided to start with the shrine of Talos mostly because it was close to a daedric shrine he knew of. Kevin figured if he was going to a Divines shrine than he may as well visit a daedric one as well.

Kevin encountered many fearsome foes as he rode shadowmere, his favourite horse as shadowmere is as immortal as Kevin is, they met about an era ago and have stayed side by side ever since but once again that is a story for another time. When he finally made it to the shrine he knew what to do but he wasn't happy about it at all, for Kevin detested praying or worshipping anyone mortal or immortal. Though he overcame his hatred and did what needed to be done and received the blessing of Talos. After that Kevin needed to wind down and he knew the perfect way to.

Two hours later: A dozen or so dremora lay dead at Kevin's feet headless and lifeless. A ruined shrine and happy Kevin later, Kevin drank mead to celebrate their deaths (that and he had a hankering for mead). Kevin set up camp just outside the shrine with a campfire and Kevin's favourite meat on a spit (chicken), with a full stomach Kevin fell asleep dreaming of death and destruction.

Seven Shrine Later
Kevin was beginning to get bored for he had not had a challenging battle for weeks. Kevin was hoping that this new power in the world would satisfy his ever consuming hunger for blood, for a time at least. Shortly after Kevin arrived and prayed at the ninth and last wayshrine (the shrine of Zenithar). Kevin encountered a group of Minotaur Lords as he was riding back to the priory. On there own they would stand no match against Kevin but as a group of six or seven as this group was, they would at least provide a bit of fun for Kevin. Kevin jumped off shadowmere drew the axe of hatred and ran into battle with these powerful creatures only to come out of it ten minutes later with six new heads for Jerkins VanNord.

Kevin faced no more powerful enemies after that, instead he rode back to the priory in peace which Kevin didn't like but unfortunately for him he had to deal with it. He did, barely, but he did, and he got back to the priory. Kevin walked down the stairs opened the large wood and iron doors and stared into the room were he saw what he didn't expect to see at all, and was not wholly sure how to react to what he saw.

There was a hooded figure standing at the armour wearing red and black inscribed robes, some kind of Mage Kevin thought, it was chanting, as the chanting got stronger and louder the room got darker and had more of an eery red glow being emitted from the armour.
"Et surget in virtute proficiunt tenebrae, nec quisquam tibi potest resistere infirmare illud erit, et devorabit omnia in tenebris."
("The darkness will grow and it's power shall rise, none can stop it none can stand against it, all will fall and darkness shall consume everything.")
The chanting got louder and stronger it was almost unbearable but Kevin fought through it and stayed strong.
