The Story of Kevin VanNord

Chapter 5: Shadow Lord

"Kevin we need you, we need your help" pleaded the leader of the psijic order.

"On one condition, I will kill Celebrimbor on my own, You will not intervene!" Kevin demanded.

"This is to important a mission to send just you Kevin" the leader of the psijic order stated.

"I wasn't asking, your either with me or against me!" Kevin agitatedly replied.

"Fine, just remember Kevin if you fail you've doomed us all because of your arrogance" the leader of the psijic order replied with a deep solemn voice.

Kevin talked to Magnus for a while afterwards, Kevin mainly wondered why he didn't state his name the first time they met, Magnus simply told Kevin that he couldn't have any distrust between the two of them. Kevin did what could almost be described as thanking Magnus for his protection (not that Kevin really needed it). Kevin started on his journey back to the priory with the tainted armour, he noticed that all manner of dark creatures tried to kill him, while he rode shadowmere. For the first time in his life Kevin did not want to spill blood, he was too busy mulling over what had happen, who was Celebrimbor, really.

Kevin stopped at several taverns as he made his way back to the priory. when he got there, it was occupied by a group of elves wearing full eleven armour. When they saw Kevin they drew their weapons, readied their swords and aimed their bows, all at Kevin. Kevin though, doesn't like having weapons pointed at him so he drew the axe of hatred, the archers released their arrows, each arrow bouncing off of Kevin's armour. He caught an arrow mid flight and threw it right at one of the elves, perfect shot straight through his skull, Within another moment they all lay dead on the ground.

An elf walked out of the church, that sat adjacent to the priory, what Kevin could only assume was their boss. He was obviously disturbed at the carnage that was now all around him. He was horrified and frozen, only seconds after Kevin had spotted the elf he sprinted up to him and drove his dagger through his skull, pulled it out in quick succession and slit his throat, quickly dealing with his two guards.

Kevin plundered there dead bodies and found only to things of interest, he found a letter and auriel's shield on the bosses limp corpse. The note read:
to Daechir
You are to bring me the head of Kevin VanNord without question and without delay, you will find him at the priory of the nine.

The note was written in elvish, but Kevin could read it well enough, Kevin knew from the biginning of the note things were bad because Daechir is not a name, it's an elvish title and means 'shadow lord'. Which Kevin didn't know much about and didn't care now that the elf was dead.

The second item intrigued Kevin even more, it was the shield of auriel, who was an ancient falmer (or as they were known then the 'snow elves') god, who were tainted by evil and driven under ground. They eventually lost any signs of humanity and their sight, they relied strongly on sound and smell to survive in the darkness.

Kevin liked weaponry that can cause great damage, whether it be a sword, an axe, a shield or anything that can deal pain. So he created the perfect combo 'axe of hatred+auriel's shield=death on mass scale' some of Kevin's favourite things put together, death and hatred.

Kevin promptly made his way back into the priory, inserted the ring, walked down the winding stairs, entered the armoury and once again violently opened the large doors. Kevin walked in, where he saw Magnus standing in the middle holding his staff strongly and stiffly, a blue light illuminating the entire stone room.
