The Awakening.

Betty woke up with a start, and Jughead rubbed his eyes.
"What's wrong Betty?" He asked, wrapping his arm
around her.
She rubs her eyes and smiled at Jughead. "Nothing, I just had a bad dream."
They walked downstairs, and Archie and Veronica were sitting on the couch, eating toast.
Betty sat down aswell. "What's on the TV?" She asked.
"Jason Blossom has just been murdered..." Veronica replied, sitting back on the couch.
"He was murdered ages ago... are you sure it's not just some memorial thing?" Jughead asks, walking into the kitchen.
"No... look." Said Archie, pointing at the TV.
"Today, Jason Blossoms body was found. The young boy was found by Fangs Fogarty and Toni Topaz." Said Alice, Betty's mother and the news reporter.
Betty blinked a couple times before saying. "That's wrong... Kevin and moose found his body."
Alice continued. "We have footage of a man in a black ski mask, supposedly made by himself, stabbing Jason in the heart before dumping him in sweet water river."
Veronica paused the TV. "I thought Clifford blossom killed Jason, and that he was shot in the head."
Betty is too stunned to speak, and she sits there, rethinking everything.
She's about to say something when there's a knock at the door.
Jughead opens it and sees Penelope Blossom, with tears in her eyes. "Does anyone know who the black hood is?" She asks in a hurry, and everyone shakes there head.
"Oh my... Riverdale is getting worse by the minute! My beloved Jason is dead! And poor Cheryl, oh the Angel... she is heartbroken. I will have to let her speak at the funeral, her words are like poetry."
Betty and Archie glance at each other, before Veronica says. "But Mrs Blossom... you hate Cheryl... you didn't want her to speak at the funeral."
Penelope looked shocked and said. "Why I love my children with all my heart! Cheryl is an amazing daughter, sometimes I wish she could stay young forever! But... what do you mean by 'didn't want her to speak at the funeral...' the funerals not happened yet."
Jughead clears his throat. "Jason Blossom was shot in the head 2 years ago by Clifford Blossom, you didn't want Cheryl to speak at the funeral and was horrible to her once she did speak at it..."
Penelope's mouth opened wide. "Excuse me! How dare you accuse my husband of such a thing! He wouldn't say boo to a goose!" And she barged out the house, slamming the door.
"That couldn't have gone any better." Muttered Veronica, and Cheryl barged into the house, crying.
"What the fuck is happening!" She yelled.
"Cheryl- calm down."
"No! I can't! Why is it happening again!"
Betty sighed. "I don't know Cheryl... but we need to figure it out.. everything is replaying but in a different order. It's twisted."
Cheryl looked disgusted. "My own mother is being nice to me... it feels like I'm being punched in the stomach!"
"That's because your punching yourself in the stomach!" Veronica yells over the cries.
Cheryl moved her fist away and cleared her throat. "I just can't be in Thornhill Manor with that dusty old skeleton of a mother being all sweet and innocent!"
Betty smiled at Cheryl. "Stay here for a bit, we need to figure out what's happening."
Cheryl nodded and took a deep breath before fixing her smudged lipstick.
"Okay, I'll try and be as calm as possible." She turns to look at Betty. "But if your mother posts the autopsy results of Jay-Jay again so help me god I will~"
Archie cut her off. "She won't, it's a weird new universe we're in, everything is mixed up."
Jugheads forehead wrinkled. "Like a parallel universe?"
Betty shook her head. "No... parallel universes are very similar to the actual universe, everything is different here..."
Archie took a bite from a sandwich he'd made. "Well one things for sure, everything's messed up."
Jughead sighed. "When are things not messed up in Riverdale?"
