(A/N: This was supposed to be titled "Devin's guilt" and be some sentimental drabble but it ended up as a fight one-shot and I like it too much to try again)

His brother was standing in front of him, his unforgiving eyes glared through his guilt ridden, much softer, rounder and redder eyes.

No one would notice the difference between them if you put them beside each other, it's funny how even though they both went through so many changes, yet at the same time, nothing has changed.

The doctor's lips parted but he hesitated to speak, his throat too sore to make a sound, his brother noticed this and scowled, "I don't need to hear it" he scoffed at the doctor

It left a bitter taste in his mouth

Smiley's chest felt heavy as he watched helplessly at his brother's pent up hatred growing by the second.

He bit his bottom lip, his eyes hurt.

His brother's jaw clenched, eyes narrowing as an ominous fog surrounded them. And suddenly, he couldn't see him anymore

He knew none of it was real, just an illusion, but he'd have to admit. It's gotten a lot more convincing

Something grazed his side, he jumped back in instinct and whipped his head to where it came from, "Smirky!" he shouted out for his brother,

He reached into his coat's pockets and held onto the scalpels he always had on his person, gripping them rather hard since they were his only weapon, "I know you're there... Quit hiding!"

The dentist didn't answer but something swooshed passed the doctor's ear making him flinch,

Smirky emerged from the fog behind him, with his obsidian scythe in hand and tried to cut through the doctor

Smiley managed to dodge by turning to the side just in time before the scythe reached his chest. He grabbed Smirky's sweater by the collar and harshly pulled him,

The sweater felt odd on his fingertips, like a cloud,

on closer inspection it didn't have any texture.

Not the real one

The illusion just glared at him with no signs of retaliation, "What is wrong with you?!" Smiley screamed, with a hint of annoyance in his voice

His eyes were wide open, his pupils as small as pinpricks and the Smirky he held by it's neck just smirked smugly before fading away,

The disappearance of his opponent made the doctor grit his teeth and clenched his fists, getting irritated at every second that passed

He heard something to his left, he looked towards that direction, nothing.

The doctor narrowed his eyes, scanning the fog surrounding him carefully. There was blurry shadows but non that resembled that of a person.

He still couldn't find Smirky, wait. No not Smirky. Drevon.

He took a deep breath and calmed himself down, he's gone through this before, slipping his hands into his coat's pocket, he knows how his brother's skills work.

His hands held tightly at his scalpels, if he can manage to leave a single hit on Smirky then he could end this fight fastly

He just needed to get close to the real Smirky.

Just one chance..

And it could be all over...

He looked around warily, as fake as the fog is it still served its purpose to obscure his vision 'Looks like he's learned from our last fight,' Smiley thought to himself,

He felt disadvantaged, but deep down, a bit proud

Listening intently for any footsteps, breathing other than his own or even a heartbeat. Smiley remained vigilant

Some shifting was heard, the doctor looked at the direction it came from, there was another one of Smirky's illusion, with a hazy face, it charged towards the doctor, the same weapon as before

at the same time Smiley could hear another pair of feet running towards him, he didn't even need to glance to know it was another illusion.

Smiley blocked the first illusion and threw it towards the second illusion.

More and more illusions started rushing towards him, some faceless, some colorless, some blurry.

The doctor continued to dodge and block attacks from left to right, he just needed to tire Smirky out

A grey figure hit him from side and Smiley let out a yelp

It wasn't even a clone anymore, it was just vaguely human

Still, the doctor refused to lose and pushed the illusion towards a better looking clone

This was a waiting game, first to stagger loses.

Smiley  had confidence in his stamina, being able to withstand torture and straining, but one thing he wasn't sure about was Smirky's, After years of him avoiding his brother there was barely anything he knew about how Smirky lived

(A/N: No idea when I can post part 2)
